Armed Antifa Group Declares “Everywhere a Battlefield”

Courtesy FarLeftWatch.com

The Austin based Anti-fascists group, Red Guards Austin, has been gaining prominence in the Texas Antifa movement. As we have previously reported, they are a self described autonomous Marxist-Leninist-Maoist collective and their website contains multiple reports on their confrontational and often armed demonstrations.

They also openly advocate for violent revolution against capitalism.

“we must seriously take up the task not only of self-defense on the personal and community level, but we must also struggle to unite all genuine antifascists behind the necessity of revolution.  Revolution means the long fight for communism and nothing less.”

In a recent blog titled “Everywhere a Battlefield“, this trend continues as they claim “The war is not coming—it is here and now” and then discuss the need for weapons training and more “revolutionary violence”.

FB page

The war is not coming—it is here and now. We must take our historic task seriously. We must accumulate forces and steel them in small-scale street battles. We must respond accordingly to the apocalyptic reality that capitalism-imperialism has forced on us.”

“So what does self-defense mean for the rest of us? What does it mean for enemies of the state? It can only mean that we must develop red physical culture. It means that we must contend for ground that has been ceded to the enemy. That we train in both hand-to-hand combat and in weapons. We must take community self-defense seriously. We must walk away from the comfort zone of the legal left, and by extension it means that those who protect them are sure to attack us. It means that we return to our filthy neighborhoods of cramped apartment complexes and organize right there among our class. It means that we choose the field of combat thoughtfully and not out of uninventive and timid habit. We cannot expect a mass antifascist movement to develop its necessarily revolutionary character unless we move away from the state-ordained protest zones.

Reclaiming violence means making revolutionary violence available to be utilized by all types of comrades at all levels and all abilities. It means training physically in flexible ways applied to the specific conditions of specific groups. Everyone, regardless of ability, can improve. This is not to do away all at once with the division of violent labor; the science of revolutionary violence is universal, and it must at the same time be applied with great care to the specific. In this process of trial and error we sharpen and broaden our skillsets. Martial arts, firearms, and sports must be seen as cultural battlefields as well as invaluable tools in our revolutionary toolkit.”

For months, militant antifa groups have been engaging in targeted political violence. They claim they exist to fight racists, bigots, and white supremacists; and their allies in the media often echo these claims. But if the actions from the Red Guards Austin is any indication, this is nothing more than a public relations campaign to recruit moderates. Their end goal is communism, a political ideology responsible for over 94 million deaths in the 20th century.

Harvey To Hit Mortgages Hard Amid 80% Without Flood Insurance

Texans hit hard by flooding in the wake of Harvey have been given 90 days of forbearance by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) announced Wednesday. The offer may extend up to a year in certain cases.

Under the terms of the forbearance, borrowers would not have to make their monthly payments, and no penalty fees would be charged, though interest would still accrue.

“This is an unprecedented crisis in the region as it relates to housing. We are not even at the point where we can evaluate the total costs, walkaways, insurance coverage, homes uninsured, jobs lost, not being able to make your mortgage payments…” said Dave Stevens, CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association.

With much of South-East Texas focused on surviving and looking for shelter, the forbearance isn’t a surprise.

Via CNBC:

In the Houston area and outlying areas hit by Hurricane Harvey, there are more than twice as many mortgage properties with nearly four times the unpaid principal balance as there were in the Louisiana and Mississippi counties hit by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. If the impact on homes is similar, more than 75,000 Houston borrowers could become unable to make a mortgage payment within the next two months and 45,000 could become seriously delinquent on their loans in the next four months, according to Black Knight Financial Services.

Uninsured masses
Complicating matters is the fact that up to 80% of homeowners in affected areas did not carry flood insurance before Harvey hit.

Via USA Today:

All these people taken out in boats, they have a second problem: They have no insurance,” said Robert Hunter, director of insurance at the Consumer Federation of America.

Harvey made landfall in Texas late Friday as a Category 4 hurricane and has lingered off the coast, dropping heavy rain as a tropical storm. Hunter expects flood damage alone from the storm to cost at least $35 billion, about what Katrina cost. But in that 2005 hurricane about half of flooded homes were covered by flood insurance.

With Harvey, only two of 10 homeowners have coverage, Hunter estimates.

Homeowner’s insurance typically covers wind damage, while floods are generally covered with separate riders. With most of the Houston area falling outside historic flood zones, most homeowners skipped coverage in the nation’s fourth largest city.

About 1.2 million properties in the Houston-Sugarland-Baytown area are at high/moderate risk of flooding but are not in a designated flood zone requiring insurance, research firm CoreLogic estimates. That’s roughly half of all properties — residential and commercial — in that area. –USA Today

There’s going to be a huge uninsured economic loss here,” said Pete Mills of the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Houston Bridges And Roads On Verge Of Failure As Mayor Orders Curfew

As Tropical Storm Harvey continues to slam southwest Texas with 15-25 inches of rain, officials are reporting that roads and bridges in Houston are beginning to buckle under the tremendous weight of unprecedented flooding. According to Jeff Linder of the Harris County Flood Control District, a bridge has already collapsed and several roads have been damaged.

The hits keep on coming, as ZeroHedge reported yesterday, the Army Corps of engineers began releasing water from two Houston flood-control dams after water levels rose rapidly, flooding over 3,000 homes. Buffalo Bayou, Houston’s primary drainage system appears to be holding steady after recording a record 33 inches of rain – with another 20 expected in the next two days.

Linder told the BBC that the Houston Ship Channel which opens into the Galveston Bay was “at levels we’ve never seen before.”

Houston mayor Sylvester Turner ordered a curfew from Midnight to 5am (originally 10pm, per tweet below). The curfew is intended to discourage looting around the city.

Chief of Police Art Acevedo said earlier that curfew violaters will be stopped, questioned, searched and arrested amid scattered reports of looting in the area.

Ongoing rescue efforts

Over 13,000 people have been rescued so far from flooding in Houston:

Auto Dealerships Stand To Rip After Hurricane Insurance Payouts Roll In

While Texas auto sales will most certainly suffer in the direct aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, which carved a path through Texas, leaving several dead and dropping 9 trillion gallons of rain, dealerships stand to profit immensely once insurance checks begin to roll in and people seek to replace their flood-damaged vehicles.

According to Marketwatch, Texas accounts for around 9% of U.S. vehicle sales and is the #1 state for truck sales – accounting for 14% of U.S. full-size truck sales.

Via MarketWatch

[D]emand for vehicles “does not disappear,” analysts at B. Riley Research said in a note Tuesday.

A potential dip in auto sales would be a temporary phenomenon, and there could be a “surge in demand from consumers looking to replace flood-impacted vehicles” as people begin to receive insurance checks, they said.

The analysts examined auto sales data from 2012 in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy to corroborate their view. In that instance, car sales dipped in October, “but the recovery was equally swift in November/December,” the analysts said.

“We would be aggressive buyers of TrueCar Inc. TRUE, +1.15%  on any weakness related to news regarding impacted auto sales due to Hurricane Harvey,” they said in a note. They maintained their buy rating on shares of Autobytel Inc. ABTL, -0.39% , but said “the company’s traffic related issues will have a larger impact vs. Harvey.”

Moreover, flooded dealerships stand to benefit as their own flood insurance pays out.

Tampa Professor Fired After Tweeting Hurricane Harvey ‘Instant Karma’ For Trump-Voting Texas

A University of Tampa Sociology professor is now unemployed after he tweeted that people in Houston deserve the “instant karma” from hurricane Harvey.

After professor Ken Storey sent his hateful tweet, he was challenged with a reply asking “I guess since we’re a Red state [Florida] we deserve some bad karma too, right?” To which Storey replied “Yep, those who voted for him here deserve it as well.”

Aaaaand you’re fired

Via Mediaite:

Storey went on to apologize for his insensitive remarks and deleted the controversial tweet. However, his apology-tweet was not taken well, as it has over 2000 replies and less than 100 likes — reaching “The Ratio” level of poor Twitter form.

This apology did not prove to be enough to save Storey from his bad-take, as the University of Tampa posted a press release today stating: “We condemn the comments and the sentiment behind them, and understand the pain this irresponsible act has caused. Storey has been relieved of his duties at UT, and his classes will be covered by other sociology faculty.”

Smokin’ Hot Melania Trump Accompanies Some Orange Guy To Assess Hurricane Damage

A very hot Melania Trump accompanied the President to assess the damage from Hurricane Harvey – boarding Air Force One in an olive jacket, aviator sunglasses, and high heels, only to emerge in a crisp white shirt, a FLOTUS hat, and sneakers.

This, by the way, is triggering liberals…

Houston Police Chief Says Book To Be Thrown At Looters

The New York Post reports that Houston’s Chief of Police, Art Acevedo, says looters are totally hosed:

We’re going to urge juries and judges to give you the most, the toughest sentence that you can possibly get,” Acevedo said at a press conference Tuesday.

“We’re going to push hard so that you don’t see the sunlight anytime soon”

Acevedo said police had already caught several armed robbers Monday night trying to take advantage of displaced residents due to Tropical Storm Harvey.

“This is the state of Texas, and we’re a welcoming city, but we’re not going to tolerate people victimizing, especially committing armed robberies in our city,” Acevedo added.

Four looters have been arrested so far…

Trump’s Handlers Concerned Don Jr. Will Leak Conservative News To His Dad

With pesky nationalists Steve Bannon and Sebastian Gorka gone from the West Wing, the deep state sequestering of President Trump is almost complete. Flanked almost exclusively by Goldman Sachs alums, military generals and Democrats – while Chief of Staff John Kelly controls information crossing the Resolute desk, nearly everything reaching the President most assuredly follows a globalist agenda.

Roger Stone, a longtime Trump advisor and frequent Infowars contributor said that the President’s “news summaries have been sanitized, which means no Infowars, no Daily Caller, no Breitbart. As such, his views are shaped by CNN and FOX News. He watches network news as well, which is almost antiquated. That’s why he’s so mad about the Russia investigation.”

Prominent pro-Trump personality Mike Cernovich, who is also regularly featured on InfoWars said of Kelly, “He’s controlling every article that passes through the West Wing right now,” adding “This shuts out a lot of people.”

Except redpilled Don Jr…

Cernovich went on to say that he’s not worried about important information reaching Trump, because “If it’s good enough, Don Jr. will give it to him,” an assertion confirmed to Buzzfeed by an anonymous White House source.

Don Jr. is a huge problem,” the source said, saying he passes questionable articles to the president. “He needs to be a galaxy away from that place.”

“I would be fine if he never saw Infowars again,” said a source who has advised the administration on communications issues. “I do think too many people had access to the president, the Oval Office was the town hall of the West Wing. But on the other hand, why does General Kelly get to decide what Trump sees?”

Study: Doping Western Cultures With Oxytocin Will Cure Hatred Of Refugees

A group of researchers from Germany and the United States have published a study which concludes that doping ‘xenophobic’ populations with massive quantities of the estrogen-linked hormone Oxytocin will cure nationalism – making native citizens more accepting and generous towards migrants who simply want free handouts from taxpayers while Islamic extremists rape and murder infidels.

Accommodating the large influx of migrants not only challenges the humanitarian capacities of European countries but also requires their native populations to adjust to rapid growths in ethnic diversity, religious pluralism, and cultural differentiation. However, the impetus to adapt to changing social ecosystems is susceptible to considerable interindividual heterogeneity. Resistance to this transition often goes along with xenophobic sentiment, and as a consequence, recent elections in Europe have favored populist candidates who have openly expressed xenophobic attitudes toward refugees.

As co-author René Hurlemann said in a related study; “Given the right circumstances, oxytocin may help promote the acceptance and integration of migrants into Western cultures.

Widely referred to as the ‘love hormone,’ ‘hug hormone,’ and ‘cuddle chemical,’ Oxytocin is secreted from the pituitary gland during sex, childbirth, and lactation – influencing social behavior and emotion. It has been shown to increase romantic attachment and empathy – invoking feelings of relaxation, trust, and psychological stability.

For just €3.11 / day you can destroy your culture!

The study concludes that a combination of oxytocin nasal spray and social pressure from other doped up participants resulted in ‘xenophobic’ test subjects increasing donations to migrants by 74% – jumping from average of €1.79 to €3.11.

[O]ur results imply that an OXT-enforced social norm adherence could be instrumental in motivating a more generalized acceptance toward ethnic diversity, religious plurality, and cultural differentiation resulting from migration by proposing that interventions to increase altruism are most effective when charitable social cues instill the notion that one’s ingroup shows strong affection for an outgroup. Furthermore, UNESCO has emphasized the importance of developing neurobiologically informed strategies for reducing xenophobic, hostile, and discriminatory attitudes (47). Thus, considering OXT-enforced normative incentives in developing future interventions and policy programs intended to reduce outgroup rejection may be an important step toward making the principle of social inclusion a daily reality in our societies.

Perhaps the researchers can also study how to chemically control refugees so they’re less violent, rapey, and are willing to integrate into another culture without destroying it? Maybe if they tainted the water supply in Saudi Arabia with Oxytocin they’d start accepting refugees instead of forcing Europe to shoulder the burden?

Meanwhile, the BBC is reporting that Lithium added to tap water may cut dementia by up to 17 percent.

The world is what they make of it.

“By this time the soma had begun to work. Eyes shone, cheeks were flushed, the inner light of universal benevolence broke out on every face in happy, friendly smiles.-Aldous Huxley, Brave New World

Mueller Subpoenas Podesta Group As Firm Retroactively Files More Pro-Russia Disclosures

FBI Special Counsel Robert Mueller has issued grand jury subpoenas to executives of five public relations firms who worked with former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort during a 2012-2014 lobbying effort for a pro-Ukraine think tank tied to former president Viktor Yanukovych. Yanukovych fled from Ukraine to Russia after he was unseated in a 2014 coup.

NBC News reports that two of the subpoenaed firms include Mercury LLC and the Podesta Group, founded by John and Tony Podesta and operated by the latter.

Manafort’s firm earned $17 million between 2012 – 2014 consulting for Yanukovych’s centrist, pro-Russia ‘Party of Regions.’ During the same period, Manafort oversaw a lobbying campaign for the pro-Russia “Centre for a Modern Ukraine,” a Brussels based think tank linked to Yanukovych which was pushing for Ukraine’s entry into the European Union.

The Podesta group, operating under Manafort, earned over $1.2 million as part of that effort.

Notably, visitor logs reveal that Tony Podesta visited the White House at least 114 times during the Obama administration according to White House visitor logs, and was said to have had ‘special access‘ to the administration through his brother, John Podesta, while lobbying for various pro-Kremlin interests.

During a 2015 interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, former president Obama admitted that his administration ‘brokered a deal‘ for the 2014 coup in Ukraine – all while John Podesta was a West Wing advisor and Tony Podesta lobbied for an organization which opposed the coup.

Podesta Group and Russia

While Robert Mueller’s investigation is ostensibly focused on the Trump campaign – conducting a surprise raid on Paul Manafort’s home last month in search of records linking him to Russia, it will be interesting to see if the Special Counsel chooses to delve into the bevy of documented ties between the the Podesta brothers and Russia.

For example, Russia’s Kremlin-owned Sberbank paid the Podesta group $170,000 over a 6 month period to lobby against 2014 economic sanctions by the Obama administration:

Podesta’s efforts were a key part of under-the-radar lobbying during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign led mainly by veteran Democratic strategists to remove sanctions against Sberbank and VTB Capital, Russia’s second largest bank.

The two Russian banks spent more than $700,000 in 2016 on Washington lobbyists as they sought to end the U.S. sanctions, according to Senate lobbying disclosure forms and documents filed with the Department of Justice.

The Podesta Group charged Sberbank $20,000 per month, plus expenses, on a contract from March through September 2016. –Daily Caller

In March of this year it was revealed that the Podesta group forgot to register as a “Foreign Agent” for their work with Sberbank.

Uranium One and Joule Unlimited

The Podesta group also earned $180,000 lobbying for Russian-owned mining company Uranium One during the same period that the Clinton Foundation was receiving millions from UrAsia / U1 interests.

Hillary Clinton campaign manager and presumed Secretary of State John Podesta also sat on the board of Massachusetts energy company called Joule Unlimited, along with senior Russian official Anatoly Chubais and Russian oligarch Ruben Vardanyan – who was appointed by Vladimir Putin to the Russian economic council.

Two months after Podesta joined the board, Joule managed to raise $35 million from Putin’s Kremlin-backed investment fund Rusnano.

Not only did John Podesta fail to properly disclose this relationship before joining the Clinton Campaign, he transferred 75,000 shares of Joule to his daughter through a shell company using her address.

In an interview with CNBC’s Maria Bartaromo, Podesta denied that he failed to disclose his ties, emphatically stating “Maria, that’s not true. I fully disclosed and was completely compliant,” adding “I didn’t have any stock in any Russian company!” in reference to Massachusetts based Joule Unlimited – with its two Russian dignitaries on the board board and a $35 million loan from a Russian investment fund founded by Vladimir Putin.

Forgetting to file pesky disclosures

While the Podesta group and Paul Manafort both failed to file paperwork related to the Pro-Russia Centre for a Modern Ukraine, new retroactive disclosures filed by the Podesta group on August 17 reveal dozens of previously unreported communications with high level democrat officials related to the lobbying campaign – including Hillary Clinton’s State Department and the office of former Vice President Joe Biden.

In their defense, Podesta Group CEO Kimberly Fritts stated that “the firm relied on assurances from the think tank, the European Centre for Modern Ukraine, that it was not controlled or financed by a foreign government or political party. Based on that information, the firm disclosed its work to Congress rather than the Justice Deparment.”

Whether or not that’s true, it’s painfully obvious that the nebulous accusations levied against the Trump team can’t hold a candle to Kremlin-linked individuals who would have wielded massive influence in a Hillary Clinton White House.
