Special prosecutor Robert Mueller has impaneled a federal grand jury as part of his investigation into the Trump campaign and it’s possible involvement in Russian interference during the 2016 election, according to the Wall St. Journal.

The White House issued the following statement in response:
“Ty Cobb, special counsel to the president, said he wasn’t aware that Mr. Mueller had started using a new grand jury. “Grand jury matters are typically secret,” Mr. Cobb said. “The White House favors anything that accelerates the conclusion of his work fairly….The White House is committed to fully cooperating with Mr. Mueller.”

According to CNBC – Trump lawyer John Dowd told NBC News the president’s legal team has been “cooperating with Bob Mueller and his staff since the first of June because we’re trying to get this thing over and done with.”
Meanwhile, CNN has reported that Mueller is also looking into Trump and his associates’ finances, combing through for possible financial ties with Russia – something Trump previously told the NYT was a “red line” in the investigation.
And hey, while we’re at it – a bipartisan group of senators just put forth legislation to prevent the president from getting rid of the special counsel.
Our democracy is slowly failing. Bad enough it’s primarily 2 parties with their party line pressure and croneyism with no term limits. But they keep stripping away the powers of the individual executive branch to halt the bullshit.
We need term limits for all branches. iIt is wrong that this chicanery goes on endlessly. What kind of revolution is required to achieve this perfectly reasonable law?
Clearly, this is a deep state run show letting everybody know publicly they are in charge.
The MSM narrative has moved off Russia. They got what they wanted – Russia has been broken by Congress’ sanctions.
Now the incessant MSM talking point will be Mueller’s investigation. Watch for CNN to bring it up 57 times per hour over the next 6 months.
To me the tell is Rosenstein. He appointed Mueller with an unprecedented, wide open remit. He has serious conflicts of interest as does Mueller. Yet no one says or does anything. Who is this Rosenstein character, and why does he have more power than the entire elected government?
If I were in Trump’s shoes, I would arrange for Rosenstein to recuse or fire him, then tell Mueller to recuse or fire him.
This assault on the duly elected President cannot go on much longer unchallenged. I think something big will happen in the next 30 to 60 days.
