Arrogant dick Al “election fraud” Franken (Dick-MN) and Earl “Bowed-Tie” Blumenauer (Douche-OR) are getting quite dramatic – suggesting that we need to revamp the 25th amendment to make it easier to execute a coup based on a President’s mental health:
Blumenauer, who represents the liberal city of Portland, Oregon, says he sees a ‘glaring flaw’ in the wording of the amendment that was ratified in 1967 in response to JFK’s assassination.
‘It has inherent flaws that need to be addressed. The amendment’s default decision-makers– the vice president and the cabinet — have a natural bias toward the existing officeholder that would make them reluctant to acknowledge the president’s inability to serve,’ he said.
‘For a mentally unstable, paranoid or delusional president, the 25th Amendment has no guarantee of its application. In fact, it’s likely that it would fail,’ Blumenauer said in a speech this week on the House floor. –DailyMail

That’s right – because when adults disagree after suffering enormous loss, the appropriate thing to do is call your opponent crazy.
Let’s take a look at the 25th amendment as it stands now, shall we?
“Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.”
So Pence and the rest of Trump’s circle could kick Don to the curb. If Trump disagreed, Congress would decide on the matter:
You can imagine this happening if the president regains consciousness from some injury or ailment — or if he simply disagrees that he’s unfit for office.
If he does this, he’ll get his powers back in four days — unless the vice president and at least eight Cabinet officials say, in writing, that he is still unable. Then the vice president will remain in charge for the time being, and Congress will have to step in to settle this dispute. -Vox

But nobody knows how to lose anymore. You get a trophy for showing up. Teachers and coaches were all too happy to go along with it because they were off the hook for not actually having to show any leadership.
I used to coach youth lacrosse. It was the parents making the kids miserable. The kids just wanted to be outside running around. They enjoyed the game day experience. You could tell they were learning and shit. It’s when your kid has to perform under pressure that your parenting skills were on public display and you could see it written on their forehead “shit, I fucked up. Just give him the damn trophy already”
Franken was a complete failure as a comedian, so he thought he’d take his failing act to Congress and in that he has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams.
