Morning Poppers (Get Ready Russia Edition)

The President of the United Steaks.

In other news, futures are +120 — but copper is off by 2.2%. Gold is also down 0.8%, and cryptos are thru the fucking roof.

BTC +13%
ETH +12%
IOT +18%

Perhaps the cryptos are now being recognized as safe havens in lieu of a Syrian attack?

In spite of weakness in commodities, today should be a bullish day.

Here are some other morning headlines.

A Sober Analysis of Batshit Crazy Trump

Unlike the lot of you, no one rules over me. I do not pledge allegiance to any party or candidate and have always accepted my faults when they’ve become clear. Hillary Clinton was an evil person and Trump is a useful idiot being steered by the same brand of institutional evil.

Here’s Michael Savage’s take on recent events. I highly recommend you listen thru the Pat Buchanan interview. This idiotic provocation could, quite frankly, be a cross-roads for society and the stakes are high, so we might as well pay attention.

RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR: ‘THERE WAS NO CHEMICAL ATTACK IN DOUMA’ — ‘NOT A SINGLE CORPSE’ FOUND

Russia’s Ambassador to the EU, Vladimir Chizov, made the bold claim today that the recent outrage over a chemical attack in the city of Douma, Syria was a complete farce, a hoax concocted by the ‘white helmets’ in Syria in an attempt to get US forces to bomb Assad.

Speaking with EuroNews, Russia’s ambassador to the EU, Vladimir Chizov, said “Russian military specialists have visited this region, walked on those streets, entered those houses, talked to local doctors and visited the only functioning hospital in Douma, including its basement where reportedly the mountains of corpses pile up. There was not a single corpse and even not a single person who came in for treatment after the attack.”

“But we’ve seen them on the video!” responds EuroNews correspondent Andrei Beketov.

“There was no chemical attack in Douma, pure and simple,” responds Chizov. “We’ve seen another staged event. There are personnel, specifically trained – and you can guess by whom – amongst the so-called White Helmets, who were already caught in the act with staged videos.”

Lending to the credibility of this claim is the fact that Russia had warned of this very thing last month.

“We have reliable information about militants preparing to falsify a government chemical attack against civilians. In several districts of Eastern Ghouta, a crowd was assembled with women, children and old people, brought from other regions, who were to represent the victims of the chemical incident, ” Gerasimov said.

In regards to the reliability of the sources on the ground in Syria, from a media perspective, here’s a Canadian journalist laying waste to the propaganda being fed to you by corporate controlled media.

Here’s Russia’s take tonight, which is getting more pointed towards Trump, to say the least.

The buzz on twitter tonight is backchannels are being used to deescalate the crisis. Let’s hope American warmongers STFU and mind their business.

Is World War Good For Stocks? Is Curing People of Disease a Good Business Model?

I have more questions than answers this afternoon.

Sure, we’re all well aware of the military-industrial complex and how it enjoys to bully 3rd world nations with advanced weaponry, systems that are then sold to other 3rd world countries boasting actual results in actual shit hole theaters.

“Look at the kill rate on these missiles Sir.”

“Wonderful, I’ll take 300 for my country.”

War is a business and the business of war is what America does best. Even when we lose, we win. Case in point, the Vietnam war. Think about all of the money that was grifted and made by the militarists in weapons and narcotics. It was truly a thing to behold. Sure, 50,000 American souls were lost, and over a million asians, but they were collateral damage. Plus, we built monuments and made sure their families received small stipends for their troubles.

But is war bullish when you’re fighting a country who could actually sink your aircraft carrier, or say occupy Alaska and seize its oil fields?

I’m not sure. Just asking.

On the subject of curing diseases that kill people, as opposed to treatments that prolong life, miserably — ’tis is another question. Does it make good business sense?

A kind hearted analyst at Goldman asked this very question today. And he mentioned Hep C and GILD — who cured Hep C, stupidly — ruining an otherwise cash cow business.

Goldman Sachs analysts attempted to address a touchy subject for biotech companies, especially those involved in the pioneering “gene therapy” treatment: cures could be bad for business in the long run.

“Is curing patients a sustainable business model?” analysts ask in an April 10 report entitled “The Genome Revolution.”

Source: CNBC

“The potential to deliver ‘one shot cures’ is one of the most attractive aspects of gene therapy, genetically-engineered cell therapy and gene editing. However, such treatments offer a very different outlook with regard to recurring revenue versus chronic therapies,” analyst Salveen Richter wrote in the note to clients Tuesday. “While this proposition carries tremendous value for patients and society, it could represent a challenge for genome medicine developers looking for sustained cash flow.”

Richter cited Gilead Sciences’ treatments for hepatitis C, which achieved cure rates of more than 90 percent. The company’s U.S. sales for these hepatitis C treatments peaked at $12.5 billion in 2015, but have been falling ever since. Goldman estimates the U.S. sales for these treatments will be less than $4 billion this year, according to a table in the report.

“GILD is a case in point, where the success of its hepatitis C franchise has gradually exhausted the available pool of treatable patients,” the analyst wrote. “In the case of infectious diseases such as hepatitis C, curing existing patients also decreases the number of carriers able to transmit the virus to new patients, thus the incident pool also declines … Where an incident pool remains stable (eg, in cancer) the potential for a cure poses less risk to the sustainability of a franchise.”

The analyst didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The report suggested three potential solutions for biotech firms:

“Solution 1: Address large markets: Hemophilia is a $9-10bn WW market (hemophilia A, B), growing at ~6-7% annually.”

“Solution 2: Address disorders with high incidence: Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) affects the cells (neurons) in the spinal cord, impacting the ability to walk, eat, or breathe.”

“Solution 3: Constant innovation and portfolio expansion: There are hundreds of inherited retinal diseases (genetics forms of blindness) … Pace of innovation will also play a role as future programs can offset the declining revenue trajectory of prior assets.”

Last question: when did you find out we were the bad guys?

Took a Bunch of Money and Threw it At the Wall

I’m sitting here with a fuckload of cash, especially after my LEDS win, and felt adventurous.

So I bought the following stocks: OSTK, YY, and NUGT.

I still have some cash left on the sidelines — but I’m willing to work it lower if I find the right stocks. I’m not afraid of WW3 and instead welcome a giant purge. Welfare has given too many bloodlines longevity and the natural culling of the weak and the stupid has been delayed for decades. We’ve become a lazy and stupid people because of this and it’s about time to end that.

Know your limitations and minimize your exposure to them. Understand your destiny has been more or less determined the day your parents conceived you and use this awareness to change your trajectory. You can start by investing wisely.

The Blessed Gods Bestow Grande Gifts to Le Fly — Who Gracefully Accepts Them With Gratitude

I was just lamenting over the specter of markets dropping after I had sold my inverse ETFs when a fucking unicorn appeared in my office and shit a gigantic pile of gold bricks and briefcases filled with money, right on my desk.

For reasons that escape me at the moment, one of my long term swing trades (long term because it didn’t work a planned god damn it) spike on incredible volume. I got in around ~$4.38 and now I got out — for a +85% win.

This victory not only offsets all of the stupid small losses that I’ve been taking on inverse ETFs, but it has boosted me to annual highs again.

The Gods do smile upon me. My winship is undeniable. Each and every time it appears “The Fly” is about to lose in a most heinous way — he wins in extraordinary fashion.

Trump: ‘Get Ready Russia’, Missiles Will Be Coming ‘Nice’ and ‘New’ and ‘Smart’

A little background while you sip on your morning coffee. While you were sleeping, Russia vowed to shoot down any missile that targeted Assad’s regime and the place it was launched from. This could mean a US destroyer or a launch pad in the region.

“If there is an American strike, then we… will shoot down the missiles and target the positions from where they were launched,” Alexander Zasypkin, the Russian envoy to Beirut, said on Wednesday. “In the past few days, we have seen an escalation towards a significant crisis.”

After reading this, our President of Twitter chimped out and told Russia to get ready for some nice and new smart bombs. This is real life.

An apropos reaction from a level thinking lad.

In the next tweet, the Orange menace said we should all get along — all except ANIMAL ASSAD of course.

On the threat of WW3, which everyone in the media seems to be cheering for, the DAX is -1%, Dow futs -250, but gold and oil are up sharply.

Last night Tucker Carlson interviewed Glenn Greenwald and discussed the authoritarian behavior of the press, who seem to be in unison on US aggression and rarely, if ever, calls out this government’s incessant craving for blood and destruction.

WHO’S READY FOR ANOTHER GIGANTIC MIDDLE EASTERN WAR?

US destroyers move into position to light Syria on fire.

Back up is on the way.

Early reports indicate the fish and chip fags, the croissants, and the head cutters are readying to launch some
missiles into Syria.

More.

Israel will avoid striking Russian interests in Syria.

Also, faggot Russian planes are in the way.

Here’s Richard Goodstein shilling hard like a motherfucker for dead Syrian soldiers.

And here’s anti-war coward, Tucker Carlson, getting butthurt with Glenn Greenwald because America wants dead Syrian people.

More from anti-war cowards.

Ron Paul the Coward.

Hero Nikki Haley with awesome and tolerable folksy accent, declares history will remember Russia stood with monsters.

Russia retorts, The US will be responsible. Duh.

Putin warns, the US is in violation of everything.

Yeah, but what is he gonna do about it? Russian cowards.

Saudi Aramco Needs to Go Public Soon — Let the Dogs of War Run Wild Until Then

If you needed the price of hot dogs to head higher in order to bring your hot dog stand public and raise a fuckload of money that could be used to invest in things other than hot dogs, you’d be elated if I was to attack a country where most of the hot dog meat came from. The same could be said about America’s pending involvement into Syria.

Sure, plenty of people (aka collateral damage) will be massacred, some in heinous ways — but it won’t be for naught. Heck, the House of Saud is going to part with some of their prized oil possession and with the money raised via IPO they will diversify their economy. Everyone knows oil is going by way of the horse and buggy. Now is the time to act, not later.

On rumors of UK, France, and US forces moving into position to kill Syrians, oil is spiking hardcore +3.7% — which has lit a fire under the shares of some of your favorite oil stocks.

BOOLISH ON GHOULISH.

CLOSED OUT ALL OF MY INVERSE ETFs ON TRADE WAR VICTORY

I sold FXP, ERY, QID, and FAZ this morning, in spite of the market being +400. It’s false thinking to believe the market cannot go higher — just because I happened to be short stocks and the market is up 400. For all we know, the market can go up another 400 tomorrow, on news that President Bolton invaded Damascus and bombed Moscow.

Nevertheless, I took some minor losses on my ill-fated trades. Truth is, I have a penchant for wanting markets to be destroyed. No idea why — but I have some suspicions.

I had a hard time putting the money back to work, because of fear of being wrong again. So I’ll keep it small until my urinal shadows whisper something unusual to me. For now, I bought some ZX — a Chinese auto play. Maybe Ford will buy them, now that China is opening up to foreign investment.

I’m still long EVGN, LEDS, and BB — an amalgamation of complete shit; but I need that shit to buoy the fuck higher. Please.

If the Gods truly hate me, stocks will reverse lower today and I’ll be left holding onto my nuts. But if that should happen, I will find solace in knowing the universe is working against me, which might offer a magnitude of closure for me — an explanation of sorts as to why certain things seem to happen to only me.

Off to see about a gigantic omelet.
