Future historians will remember the electoral (college) victory (while losing the popular vote by the widest margin since 1789) and presidency of Trump as old white men’s last hurrah.

The demographic argument also overlooks turnout, the angry old white guy has been a fairly motivated voter of late.

Fly, I would appreciate your take on Thomas Wictor’s point of view on this whole Syria situation. He posts long threads on Twitter and provides a lot of direct evidence to support what he says.
In short, he thinks Assad did gas his people, and that The Trump administration and US military are highly coordinated with Saudi Arabia in dealing with all of this, with the Saudis having a very advanced combined arms micro team military capability that is never talked about but highly effective, and is leaving their fingerprints on what is going on now in Syria. In his opinion a lot of Trump’s tweets are intentional disinformation to confuse the enemy.
