Pentagon Statement: “Russian Forces Were Notified in Advance”

Sec. Tillerson is scheduled to meet with Putin this coming Tuesday. According to the Pentagon, ‘Element of Surprise’ Donald informed the Russians before lobbing over 60 cruise missiles, costing the American tax payers about roughly $84 million, not including the cost of logistics, satellite uplinks and personnel.

“US military planners took precautions to minimize risk to Russian or Syrian personnel located at the airfield.”

D.C. Reacts to Trump’s Strikes on Syria

Only Republican Sen. Rand Paul and Democratic Sen. Coons issues a word of caution after tonight’s attack. Everyone else showered Trump with adoration.

HOUSE SPEAKER PAUL RYAN

“This action was appropriate and just.”

“Resolving the years-long crisis in Syria is a complex task, but Bashar al-Assad must be held accountable and his enablers must be persuaded to change course. I look forward to the administration further engaging Congress in this effort.”

REPUBLICAN SENATORS JOHN MCCAIN AND LINDSEY GRAHAM

“Building on tonight’s credible first step, we must finally learn the lessons of history and ensure that tactical success leads to strategic progress. That means following through with a new, comprehensive strategy in coordination with our allies and partners to end the conflict in Syria.”

SENATOR BOB CORKER, CHAIRMAN SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS

“It is critical that Assad knows he will no longer enjoy impunity for his horrific crimes against his own citizens, and this proportional step was appropriate. As we move forward, it will be important for the administration to engage with Congress and clearly communicate its full strategy to the American people.”

REPRESENTATIVE ED ROYCE, CHAIRMAN HOUSE FOREIGN AFFAIRS

“Assad was warned, repeatedly, by the U.S. and the U.N. that the intentional targeting of innocent men, women and children is intolerable. Now Assad has been caught red-handed carrying out another abhorrent chemical attack, and the administration has taken a measured response.”

REPRESENTATIVE ADAM SCHIFF, RANKING MEMBER, HOUSE INTELLIGENCE

“I will be reintroducing an authorization for use of military force against ISIS and al Qaeda when Congress returns to session. Congress cannot abdicate its responsibility any longer and should vote on any use of force not made in self defense. This is necessary whether action is taken against terrorist groups or, as here, against regime capabilities.”

SENATE DEMOCRATIC LEADER CHUCK SCHUMER

“Making sure Assad knows that when he commits such despicable atrocities he will pay a price is the right thing to do.? It is incumbent on the Trump administration to come up with a strategy and consult with Congress before implementing it.”

SENATOR BEN CARDIN, TOP DEMOCRAT ON SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS

“I cannot emphasize this enough, any longer-term or larger military operation in Syria by the Trump administration will need to be done in consultation with the Congress. Furthermore, it is the president’s responsibility to inform the legislative branch and the American people about his larger policy in Syria, as well as the legal basis for this action and any additional military activities in that country.”

SENATOR MARCO RUBIO, REPUBLICAN ON SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS

“What must follow is a real and comprehensive strategy to ensure that Assad is no longer a threat to his people and to U.S. security, and that Russia no longer has free rein to support his regime.”

REPUBLICAN SENATOR RAND PAUL

“While we all condemn the atrocities in Syria, the United States was not attacked. The president needs congressional authorization for military action as required by the Constitution, and I call on him to come to Congress for a proper debate. Our prior interventions in this region have done nothing to make us safer, and Syria will be no different.”

SENATOR DICK DURBIN, DEMOCRATIC WHIP

“My preliminary briefing by the White House indicated that this was a measured response to the Syrian nerve gas atrocity. Any further action will require close scrutiny by Congress, and any escalation beyond air strikes or missile strikes will require engaging the American people in that decision.”

DEMOCRATIC SENATOR CHRIS COONS

“While I’m encouraged that the Trump administration has felt compelled to act forcefully in Syria against the Assad regime, I’m gravely concerned that the United States is engaging further militarily in Syria without a well-thought-out, comprehensive plan. Frankly, the president’s actions today generate more questions than answers.”

Trump Speaks on Syrian: “Tonight I Ordered a Targeted Strike”

“Even beautiful babies were cruelly murdered.”

General Trump addressed the nation tonight, after a long hedonistic meal with the President of China. Here’s Trump flexing his muscles, invoking God and jingoism in a speech designed to inspire Americans to enjoy more war.

He failed, miserably.

“God Bless America and the entire world.”

FUTURES DIVE LOWER AFTER TRUMP STARTS WAR WITH SYRIA

Dow futures are lower by 111, after reports that Trump has ordered an attack on Syria. More than 60 cruise missiles were launched from the USS Ross (no Rick) and the USS Porter.  Subsequently, gold, oil and bonds are soaring, which should please the former CEO of $XOM, Secretary of State, Rexx Tillerson.

The US 10yr is down 5bps, gold +1.3%, oil +1.6%.

Asian markets are taking the news in stride, with just 1% shaved off the Hang Seng. Typically, war equates to higher stock prices, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see the market rally after this initial downturn.

Incidentally, I had anticipated this act of war by Trump and had positioned accordingly. Members of Exodus were apprised in real time.

As for the theatre of war. There are 100,000 Iranian soldiers fighting in Iraq, with just 6,000 American. Hopefully, our men and women serving abroad will remain safe, fight valiantly, and with success. The era of Trumpism had ended for me today, as I am dispirited by the actions of a man who promised to avoid this war as the centerpiece of his foreign policy.

I’ve always hated politics, believing all men and women serving the country were devils. I wanted to believe and placed a lot of faith in Trump. I will continue to report things as I see fit, but gone are the days of Trump getting a free pass here. Hopefully, the lunacy will be contained and the ‘collateral damage’ limited.

Flashback: Sec. Kerry Said 100% of Syrian Chemical Weapons Were Removed

Before you start WW3, believing in the agitprop out of the media who is blaming Assad on a pointless chemical weapons attack on his own people, in low impact mop up operations, take a look at this montage of Obama officials claiming they had removed ‘100%’ of the chemical weapons in Syria.

Who benefits from this, a man who has been fighting for control of his country since 2012, or neocons, like McCain, who’ve been begging for war with Syria and Russia in order to build pipelines and install a puppet government?

Report: Bannon Refers to Jared Kushner as ‘Cuck’ and ‘Globalist’

According to the Daily Beast, the war brewing between Trump’s life long democratic son in law, Jared Kushner, and Steve Bannon, has reached a fevered pitch.

Before I get into the story, let me address the democratic status of Kushner.

He’s contributed over $100k to democratic politicians, giving Hillary Clinton money in 2000 and again in 2003. He’s been a donor to Senators Chuck Schumer and Robert Menendez. Also, he gave money to Reps Booker and Pascrell. He did, however, give $1,000 to Rudy Guiliani, back in 1999.

Earlier this week, Roger Stone reported that Kushner was leaking damaging info about Bannon to MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough. The very next day, Bannon was pushed out of the NSC.

Now we’re hearing rumors that Bannon refers to Kushner as a ‘cuck’ and ‘globalist.’ That’s hard to argue, especially since Kushner looks like one and has supported candidates who were vying for amnesty for nearly two decades.

Cuck

Bannon likened Kushner to a ‘fifth column’, saying he was trying to ‘shiv him and push him out the door’, according to the Daily Beast.

“There’s a big fight [going on],” one senior official said. “It’s all about policy. There’s tension [between them] on trade, health care, immigration, taxes, [terrorism]—you name it.”

The White House and Bannon did not respond to emails seeking comment.

With regards to healthcare, Kushner invited Zeke Emanuel, brother of Rahm Emanuel (Obama’s Chief of Staff) and main architect of Obamacare, to consult the Trump White House on how to proceed with Trumpcare, according to a senior Trump aide.

“Steve thinks Jared is worse than a Democrat, basically,” another official close to Bannon said. “[Steve] has a very specific vision for what he believes, and what he shares [ideologically] with Trump. And he has for a long time now seen [Jared] as a major obstacle to achieving that.” Bannon was removed from his post on the National Security Council on Wednesday. One senior Trump administration official told The Daily Beast on Wednesday morning that Bannon was “only on [NSC] to babysit [Michael] Flynn” because Trump “was losing faith” in Flynn, and that Bannon “never went to meetings.”

Immediately following the inauguration, democrats took to Twitter with the #PresidentBannon meme, hoping to trigger the vainglorious President into firing Bannon. It appears, as unbelievable as it may seem, such attempts have worked.

The Times also reported that “Bannon’s Svengali-style reputation has chafed on a president who sees himself as the West Wing’s only leading man,” and that “several associates said the president had quietly expressed annoyance over the credit Mr. Bannon had received for setting the agenda—and Mr. Trump was not pleased by the ‘President Bannon’ puppet-master theme promoted by magazines, late-night talk shows and Twitter.”

A Republican source close to Trump told The Daily Beast confirmed this level of insecurity over Bannon’s reputation coming from the president, and mentioned that the president was “irked” after catching a glimpse of a recent cold-open on Saturday Night Live.

Bannon was depicted as a Grim Reaper character who manipulates Alec Baldwin’s President Trump into sowing global chaos and diplomatic breakdown. At the end of the scene, “Bannon” tells Trump to give him his Oval Office desk back. Baldwin’s Trump calls the Reaper “Mr. President,” and then proceeds to go sit at his own much smaller, shorter desk, where the president plays with a kid’s toy instead of governing.

“Did you see this crap?” Trump asked the confidante, referring to the SNL sketch.

THE PENTAGON TO BRIEF THE PRESIDENT ON MILITARY OPTIONS AGAINST ASSAD REGIME

Is anything else more important? Feel solace in knowing that you asked for this, constantly clamorimg for justice for Russia’s transgressions. Now you’ll get the war you’ve been craving. Shortly thereafter, you’ll remember when you lost your soul as a human being, filled with regret and remorse for ever thinking about taking the lives of fellow human beings. Until you get to that point in your slowly curving arc, you should know that General Mattis is briefing the President on military options to punish Assad.

We must stop him from gassing his own people, by properly incinerating them with depleted uranium bombs.

Source: CBS

“It’s my understanding he’s consulting seriously with General Mattis and General McMaster and I believe they will provide him with excellent recommendation,” McCain said. “I do not know what that recommendation will be.”

McCain said he and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, have “strongly recommended” that the U.S. ground the Syrian Air Force.

“Don’t let those planes fly that are committing war crimes by dropping nerve gas against innocent men and women and children,” he said. “And the great failure of the Obama administration was saying they were going to do something about it and didn’t.”

Yes, let’s ‘ground’ the Syrian Air Force, by bombing Russian anti aircraft batteries. But don’t worry, we’ll get a coalition of nations to join in this fight. Early rumors suggest the President is strongly considering cruise missile strikes from nearby Naval warships.

*TILLERSON: ASSAD’S ROLE IN FUTURE UNCERTAIN
*TILLERSON: NO DOUBT ASSAD’S REGIME RESPONSIBLE FOR SYRIA ATTACK

“I think further it’s very important that the Russian government consider carefully their continued support of the Assad regime.”

Tillerson warns Russia.

10D WATERPOLO ALERT: TRUMP TOLD MEMBERS OF CONGRESS HE’S CONSIDERING MILITARY ACTION IN SYRIA

Aside from hating everything the degenerate left represents, my prime motive for hating Hillary was a belief that she represented neocon policies to wage war with Syria and Russia.

Well, CNN’s Dana Bash is reporting that our 10D water polo player, President Trump, is now considering military action against Assad.

Pray tell me, how does he expect to do that without starting World War 3 with Russia.

The silver lining in all this is the likelihood that Russia could capture Alaska and work military columns down to California, where they could reestablish their ancient colony and send everyone there back to Siberia for proper reeducation.

Either way, this is dreadful news for Trumpsters. Brace yourselves for neocon hell.

Hey, at least Bill Kristol is happy.
