THE PENTAGON TO BRIEF THE PRESIDENT ON MILITARY OPTIONS AGAINST ASSAD REGIME

Is anything else more important? Feel solace in knowing that you asked for this, constantly clamorimg for justice for Russia’s transgressions. Now you’ll get the war you’ve been craving. Shortly thereafter, you’ll remember when you lost your soul as a human being, filled with regret and remorse for ever thinking about taking the lives of fellow human beings. Until you get to that point in your slowly curving arc, you should know that General Mattis is briefing the President on military options to punish Assad.

We must stop him from gassing his own people, by properly incinerating them with depleted uranium bombs.

Source: CBS

“It’s my understanding he’s consulting seriously with General Mattis and General McMaster and I believe they will provide him with excellent recommendation,” McCain said. “I do not know what that recommendation will be.”

McCain said he and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, have “strongly recommended” that the U.S. ground the Syrian Air Force.

“Don’t let those planes fly that are committing war crimes by dropping nerve gas against innocent men and women and children,” he said. “And the great failure of the Obama administration was saying they were going to do something about it and didn’t.”

Yes, let’s ‘ground’ the Syrian Air Force, by bombing Russian anti aircraft batteries. But don’t worry, we’ll get a coalition of nations to join in this fight. Early rumors suggest the President is strongly considering cruise missile strikes from nearby Naval warships.

*TILLERSON: ASSAD’S ROLE IN FUTURE UNCERTAIN
*TILLERSON: NO DOUBT ASSAD’S REGIME RESPONSIBLE FOR SYRIA ATTACK

“I think further it’s very important that the Russian government consider carefully their continued support of the Assad regime.”

Tillerson warns Russia.

Joint Air strikes between Russia and the USA to neutralize/wipe out the Syrian air force. That would be the best case scenario.

You are thinking outside the box imo. There could possibly be no need for airstrikes in such a case. Syria bedeviled, lives saved and who cares if two pipelines are built.

Assad is irreparable damaged goods at this point. Putin will realize this and will find a way to extricate his support for Assad while saving face is what I am thinking.

Yes I am thinking outside the box. When everybody is thinking the same thing then there isn’t much thinking going on.

As if Russia wants to take down Assad. Russia’s support for Assad is the only reason that the butcher Assad is still in power at this time– killing millions, and destroying cities, filling up the world with more refugees than the world can handle.

            Frog speaks the truth here.
I can envision virtually no scenario in which Russia helps the US take out Assad. Such thinking is ludicrous.

The only plausible way Assad is cast aside is if Russia and the US divide Syria and each takes control of their allotment.

One of two things will happen fairly soon.

      1) Russia unfriends Iran and Syria.

      2) Trump exposes the gas attack as Fake News and buries the Deep State.

Either way… war is not happening. This is all showmanship. I will happily eat these words if I am wrong, but I don’t think I am. Trump will lose a lot of support if he goes into Syria. He knows this.

Americans Jewish people have a variety of views about international relations. You ought to get out of the house more and meet more of them.

There is a difference between going to war with Russia for no good reason, and agreeing with everything Putin ever said like Trump had been doing up until now. Neither of those 2 options are good ones.

Someone could want to punish Russia in some way, because they influenced our election, in order to elect a bozo who will bring the U.S. to ruin– without wanting a war with Russia.

Everything is not so black and white– where you have to always agree with Russia and give in to their every desire even if it hurts the U.S. best interests to do so– or else go to war with them. There are many other possible choices in between.

        “possible choices in between”

        – Like missiles on his doorstep in violation of agreements made?

        – Like bringing former Soviet republics into NATO in violation of agreements made?

        – Like involving ourselves in a coup to overthrow an elected Russia-friendly government in Ukraine (and fools here piss and moan about supposed DNC email leaks)

        – Like crippling sanctions that have made Putin the most popular leader in Russian history and have cause the Russian on the street to hate the US?

        – Like staging provocative NATO maneuvers on land and sea on Russia’s doorstep?

Done all the in between stuff already Frog. We keep beating on them, why don’t they love us?

Do you want Russia to be in charge of choosing U.S. international policies, and for the U.S. to give Russia anything they want from us, without exceptioin? That seems to be what Trump was going to do, before. Now he’s going to the opposite extreme. Neither one is a great idea.

I am a big supporter of yours and even sent you money for your campaign. I just wanted to let you know that you risk losing your base with military adventurism in Syria. Your base supports an end to the Bush/Obama policy of regime change, we can’t turn the Middle East and Afghanistan into New England with bombs and bad advice, and trying will just give radical Islam more space to spread like it did in Iraq and in Libya. This is bad policy – it’s neoconservative policy – something you explicitly ran against. Bring Bannon’s conservative nationalism back, that is what your base wants.

      All the best to you,

The idea that a US leader could be Isolationist and protectionist when the US is ~25% of global GDP and economically reaches into all corners of the globe is a mistaken one. Trump said ..9:05 p.m. “My job is not to represent the world. My job is to represent the United States of America.”

The American republic is an empire and there comes responsibility with it. Lets hope he gets good advice and can act in the best interests of the Empire and the Republic.

Interesting coincidence… I said before the election that there is no humanitarian or ideological reason for war with Russia but that they were fighting a proxy war with Russia through Syria (likely over a pipeline that would be routed through Syria and into Europe) and there was a lot of war propaganda mixed in with campaign propaganda….

Now coincidentally they have their humanitarian reason for action and are pushing this as the “grounds for the no fly zone” that “they” always wanted and they are using McCain and others as the vehicle to push this no fly zone now that Hillary failed to deliver an electoral victory… and this coincidence is under suspicious circumstances also*.
Pre election I also posted a link to a military general testifying that a no fly zone means 100,000 U.S. ground troops in Syria and war with Syria and Russia.

I have typed what I perceive to be the case for taking down Assad, for those who want that, at the so-far end of this page here. There has been humanitarian reason for intervention for a long time. Assad had already killed large numbers of people and destroyed cities, resulting in millions of immigrants flooding a world that is not equipped to handle all of them.

Scott Adams is a totally biased Trump shill and Hillary hater. There is nothing objective about his analyses. Every time Trump farts or burps, Adams makes up some reason why this is supposedly an advanced persuasion technique of some kind. He is so in love with Trump that he keeps trying to make up reasons why Trump is somehow acting competently at being president– even super-competently.

The joke is on Adams. He should have been analyzing Bannon before, and Kushner now, because that’s who our president was before, and is now.

This is hilarious. Except it is also so sad.

Trump was ready to visit the planned new Russian naval base on the Syrian Mediterranean shores and grab some pussy at the clubs, and now this happens. Fuuuck.

Jared was already there on a scouting mission. Check him out:

unless one is sampling stories from both sides (left and right), people are being completely misled by one of the sides. Both sides get the facts right, usually, and eventually. The manipulation comes in the form of what they emphasize and what they deemphasize……

    common sense is uncommon unfortunately.

The Right spreads a lot more lies than the Left does, although some Left Wing sources do spread some lies. Anybody telling you to believe that they are equal is leaning pretty far to the Right, by defending Right Wing lie factories like Breitbart, Fox, Drudge, Alex Jones etc. Those people send out about 1000X more lies than the average Left Wing media outlet.

Scott Adams is a total Trump shill and Far Right Winger.

Both sides manage a story/narrative to suit their end game. Read and think critically it will serve you well. Lies are always wrapped in some element of the truth, be discerning and look for facts and avoid opinions- that is all I am hoping for people to do.

look in the end it will take a consensus opinion to be formed amongst the people whatever their political affiliations to bring about change. If that doesn’t occur then the powers that be ( globalists) will assert more control and in the end we all lose.

Everyone needs to simmer down. A military briefing doesn’t mean the president is going to act on any of the recommendations.

Let’s wait and see what he decides to do after he’s had the briefing.

    No, don’t simmer down!

But do do what T.C. did. Sit down and write a calm, rational, respectful demand that he not be manipulated into more war.

Everyone gets conned at some time in their life, by someone. When you realize it’s happened to you, it’s best to admit it and get up and come up with a Plan B.

Although I don’t think anyone has said it here, it sounds like the case for taking down Assad is that he is Hitler like and that it would be less of a disaster for the U.S. or U. N.to stop him earlier than later when the entire world is even more overwhelmed with Syrian refugees fleeing his reign of terror.

I am not approving that case, just trying to state what it seems to be. If anyone sees a different case being made for the U.S. taking down Assad, please type it out for us all to see and reflect upon.

Assad did tons more destruction of his own citizens, cities, and country than anyone else has done there, including ISIS. ISIS is NOT a proxy for the U.S. What conspiracy theory site do you get your news from?

Might be grandstanding before the big meeting between Trump and Putin in possibly Helsinki? Helsinki is not a large place. Driving to downtown from the airport is pretty much a road with two lanes. But the hospitality is exceptional. Blond hair but not like west coast Sweden women.
