We’ve climbed a long way from the April lows. The Dow is above 13,000 and investors are feeling good about themselves, with marked exception to those still trapped inside YELP. Nevertheless, it is your duty, as gentlemen of society, to take profits and spend money freely. It is your constitutional right.
Although I regret selling CTRP, seeing it go ‘full retard’ to the upside without helmet. I made 15% for my troubles. One cannot lament over missed gains.
Here we are just a few months until the elections. On one ticket we have Karl Marx, who is interested in throwing the upper middle class into government fire hydrants–head first. On the other, we have “medicine” also known as austerity. It may bode well for the general economy in the long run; but in the short term, medicine tastes like shit.
To my cocaine gorillas in the jungle, boxing skeletons into dust, I bid you farewell. “The Fly” will be back when things cool down. For now, I am fleeing this resort before the fires of the jungle fossilize its inhabitants.
Fuck this horseshit.

You gotta think fucked up to make money in this market, thus I consumed half a metric tonne of bathsalts before trading, and thus prospered.
Did you throw the salts into a metal blade cocaine fan for maximum dispersion?
inside a giant centrifuge .
Curious, as you were perusing hedges today, did VXX cross your mind?
No. I bought HDGE.
By boxing gorillas on cocaine I’m assuming you are speaking of the movie Congo. One of my all time favourites.
i can hear drums from the distant village, they are saying ” throw a virgin into the volcano, lol were will i find a virgin… oh wait it isnt the distant village its the neighbor tellin me my dog got out and shit in his garden. be back in a minuet.
will you adhere to OS in PPT on this round or sit in the tall grass?
sir fly any stock plays for ISAAC. I hope its a nonevent, as it moves over cuba it should lose strength. if it hugs the coast it will be a hurricain. i have to put the storm shutters on in either event.
Buy stocks in any ice cube company. That’s the first thing folks want after it’s blown over.
Here is a dumb idea, not for me:
Cat 1 Isaac heads into Lower Mississippi Valley -> busts up the H pressure over Midwest -> drought relief
No one can say it’s a corny idea!
That may have been true if it happened 6 weeks ago but it is far to late to salvage this years corn crop. I’m looking at the corn around here and what was planted on decent well cared for ground has maybe 70% of normal standing on it. The corn planted on lighter ground and the organic stuff was toast by mid July. Those fields will do well to make even 50% of normal. This years crop is what it is right now and no amount of rain will save it.
$ENR. Get your flashlight battery game on.
Fly, what do you think of $VQT. Pretty clever hedge concept if it really works as they are describing it. Thoughts?
Well, I got my date. Looks like Iran’s Supreme National Security council is saying that a Iran/G+5 phone meeting will be held Aug 31. In the meantime Iran meets with Nuke Watchdogs tomorrow about going to Iran to play “Myth Busters” on whether they are being bad. In the meantime Iran has covered the building the inspectors want to go look at with a tent and is probably cleaning it up so they can look like good kids during the inspection…..either way, risk of Israel attack should be coming out of all of this and this darn “oil rally” should fade.
We bought 100 shares of CLF today!
Because we can!
Does Stan buy 50 and Gregg buys 50? Or do you two share an account?
lol I like you guys, for some reason
Kudlow going full retard against the 0 on CNBC. Sometimes that old windbag has the pulse. The money wants Rombot. The rally may very well be toast.
He’s as bad as the rest of us. No one votes FOR someone or something– only AGAINST someone or something.
We have lost our vision. As a nation, we must really believe that we can make everything right by fiinding a candidate we don’t like and voting AGAINST them. I’ve never noticed this working well yet though.
Austerity bodes well for the general economy in the long run, only according to the economic theory of Ludwig Von Miser, not in the real world. In order for the economy to be helped in the long run, it must survive in both the short run and the long run. Too much austerity and the fat lady will sing for the economy– although she will have become a skinny lady by that time.
The more I read you Dr. Fly the more I believe you to are a top notch gentleman and not the myth everyone makes you out to be.
You change your website more than a girl changes clothes.
It is not by choice, good Sir Dave, but by necessity!
Mr.Pink has returned cretins!
Eric holder is pandering to the lesbian, gay, pansexual, transgender, donkey fuckers so they can get status as a minority on C-Span.
He deems it fit to see that every federal prison and federal agency has a LGBTA liason in place to ensure their constituents are represented in our government.
Thank the National LGBTA Bar Association for making sure these guys get their chunk of federal money and employment.
You can’t make this shit up.
“Fuck this horseshit”
I think Lance Armstrong just stole your quote……….
I just don’t believe the fed will let this market die.
I bought TZA and FAZ at noon on Tuesday, based on the market’s price behavior in the three days before, and the day after options expiration of June.
I sold at a nice profit at the close today (Thursday) because on Friday June 22 (the Friday after options expiration) the market opened up 65 points (DJII) and stayed there all day.
I will again go short at the close Friday Aug. 24, because the market had a big down-day on Monday June 25.
You may come out on top of that trade, but don’t think of it other than blind luck. What happened in June means fuck all for what’s going to happen this week.
What are these April lows which you refer?
