LePen has her right to do what she wants with her life, as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone. I don’t know much about her. But if she is a real populist, rather than a fake one, she would have been 100 steps above Trump, if elected.
It was also a vote on whether to stay in the EU or not. And the French apparently decided that the benefits of the EU were greater than the costs for them, just as the British decided vice versa last year. The answer to that question could easily be different for different countries.
I guess we’ll find out what Macron will do as the leader of France soon. He sure couldn’t be any worse than Trump is for the U.S.
I realize you are probably kidding about no respect for losers. But just for the other people around here, people who are overall successful fail more often than non-successful people do. The reason is that eventually successful people try a lot of things and take risks, and they fail at some of them. In time, they succeed at some things and find their niche in life.
