This is perhaps the dumbest man in the Senate right now, aside from Senator Graham — who is considered by most to be mentally disabled. Here is Marco Rubio saying that Assad has to be taken out — because the terrorists don’t like him. That wasn’t hyperbole.
That said, look, I listened to the interview earlier today, I guess, that Secretary Tillerson is going to have on your program, and I’m a bit concerned about the outlines of the strategy, as I understand it. I think it’s based on assumptions that quite frankly are not the right ones. And I hope they’ll reconsider this idea that we’re going to get rid of ISIS and then we’ll hopefully use Assad and others to come up with a solution, it’s not going to work.
As long as Assad is there, you’re going to have a radical jihadist Sunni element, even if you destroy ISIS it’ll be al-Nusra and that new coalition. These people who have been killed and gassed and human rights violations against them will never accept Assad as their rightful ruler, and they will join or become radicalized in order to fight him.
Part of his ‘strategy’ is to set up a no fly zone, which caught Stephanopoulos by surprise, who asked him if such as thing were possible without Russia being onboard.
Rubio’s reply, was, essentially, ‘bring on WW3’ — saying that sarin gas was a threat to US forces on the ground there. Ergo, we need to put them at further risk by starting war with the second strongest military in the world, who has the noted benefit of being located right next door to Syria.
It’s worth reminding readers that the U.S. government has yet to prove that sarin was used in the attack, or that the Assad regime was responsible for an attack that clearly benefited the U.S. sponsored terrorists in Idlib.

What he said is that Assad killed and gassed so many people, and violated the human rights of so many people, that the survivors of those attacks will never accept Assad as their rightful ruler. They’ll fight him. Some will even join terrorist organizations in order to fight Assad, seeing that terrorist organizations are some of the most effective fighters against Assad.
There are no U.S. sponsored terrorists in Syria. We did not help the terrorists but helped some of the many other people fighting against Assad. Almost everyone in Syria wants to fight against Assad, except Russia, who is propping Assad up, because they want to get a port from him. The forces against Assad are not all one big faction. There are many factions.
But I am typing this explanation for the 10,000th time, to deaf ears.
So go ahead and tell me what some Russian propaganda web site says instead, as usual.
Assad has never used sarin on ‘his people’. Prove me wrong.
Go.
Also, there are no ‘moderate rebels’ in Syria. All groups are run by Islamic extremists.
Prove me wrong.
Go.
FlyLevine…go
Frog, you are a fucking moron.
Your world view completely ignores the plight of the Yezdi, Alawite, or Christian people. Who do you think they prefer?
Assad is the only future for Syria.
I am not going to bother again. You only believe Russian propaganda sites and conspiracy theory sites. I am not going to look up reputable mainstream sources once more, and then have you and others here “refute” them with Russian propaganda or conspiracy theory sites.
It’s a clash of different news sources, some of them only propaganda sources. Neither of us is going to go to Syria and see what’s going on from firsthand experience.
Frog,
You’re an idiot. A lazy one at that.

in a nutshell
Frog, you are an idiot. That’s why no one cares about your “proof.”
One things for sure, if things don’t work out for Rubio in Florida, with loony ideas like that he’s got a future in California. They’ll vote for him.
Rubio is just a wind-up toy and he’ll say whatever he’s programmed to say. But listening to him gives one a good view into the Likud lobby’s agenda …and the direction that the propaganda war is going to go.
