America’s New Red Line: Gassing Babies or Using Barrel Bombs Will Earn a Military Response

Ladies and gentleman, we have a new red line, vis a vie the Trump administration. Effective immediately, as per Sean Spicer, any gassing of babies or usage of the barbaric barrel bomb will earn a well deserved military response from the Trump regime.

If on the other hand, Assad kills babies via precision guided missiles, as was the case when Obama made a booby in Northern Syria last July — killing 73, 35 of which were babies, that’s perfectly fine.

Also, Spicer informed us of a new development, stating that Russia was ‘aligned’ with N. Korea — something that has never been used in the common vernacular of the main stream news flow. You might want to add that to your talking points.

Lastly, and most importantly, Spicer said he doesn’t see a way towards peace without Assad being lifted from Damascus. There have been numerous reports circulating today suggesting that Trump was rejecting the neocons’ request for an escalation in Syria. If true, someone should drop that memo off on Spicer’s desk so that he could relay that position to the American people.

Spicer lies constantly, just like Trump. This is his job.

“Spicer said he doesn’t see a way towards peace without Assad being lifted from Damascus.”

There may not be a way toward peace even if Assad IS lifted from Damascus. When we took out Saddam, that didn’t instantly make Iraq a peaceful place. There are so many warring factions in such places. If you take down a leader who is a butcher, usually another butcher steps into his place, or else the warring factions just keep on warring and keeping the place in chaos. If we take out Assad, then we ought to ask: What happens next? And is that any better than Assad?

No telling what Trump’s policies will be tomorrow. His statements about Syria for the last few weeks have been all over the map. In fact, perhaps one reason Assad bombed babies is because one of Trump’s recent statements was that he was fine with Assad continuing to do what he’s been doing.

There is no peace to be had in the Middle East. Why we don’t just let them all fight it out is beyond me. We don’t even need the oil anymore. It’s just a giant shit show.

In case there is anyone here who would like to read an excellent article about Syria, that is not written from a Right Wing perspective.
