UBS CEO: ‘The European Banking System is Solid’

The CEO of UBS reassured investors, in a CNBC interview, that the European banking system was doing great. When asked to discuss the ongoings at Deutsche Bank, he opted to not discuss it — scared to rock the boat. Then in the very next sentence he said the ‘macro environment is not very constructive for banks’ — laying blame on negative rates and low growth.

Deutsche Bank is an ‘idiosyncratic’ situation, according to the UBS Chief — a mere isolated and hugely systematic situation. He’d prefer to not discuss it and that it’s time to move on. He has enough problems.

Year to date losses of the European banking sector: Deutsche Bank is down 45%, Credit Suisse -35%, Lloyd’s of London -33%, Barclays -32%, UBS is down 24% Intesa San Paolo -41%, E.On -30%, Societe Generale -28%, Axa -25%, Banco Popolare -77%, UBI Banca -67%, Unicredit -61%, RBS -40%, Banco Popular -60%, IAG -45%, Bankia -31%.

Later on he mentioned potential bubbles forming due to low rates. I wonder what he really thinks? It seems to me the more he speak, the more his truth leaks out.

Here is the Single Best Fundamentally Based Investment Formula

When I actively traded stocks, one of my favorite features in Exodus was using its powerful screening tools to not only find the best stocks — but the best investment formulas — based on fundamentals.

With this screener, members are able to insert hundreds of different inputs to find which combination has produced the best returns. In other words, it can tell you if low PE stocks vs high PE stocks did better over a definitive time frame. Or, it can tell if investors value growth over free cash flow or low p/s v high, low debt v highly leveraged etc.

Having gone through nearly every combination possible, I’ve found the holy grail — the single best combination of fundamental inputs that has produced an array of stocks — which have crushed the market over the past year, gaining 19.47%.

Here are the very largest capped stocks.

ReCode on Twitter Buyout: It’s Benioff or Die

According to the good folks at ReCode, Google, Apple and Disney aren’t interested in buying a Jack in the box that opens up once per quarter to punch you in the face with a $100 million loss.

That leaves the uber talented and woefully deranged Marc Benioff as the last man standing in the hunt to acquire Twitter. The idea of CRM buying TWTR is hateful to CRM shareholders and they’ve expressed their dismay by selling the shares in recent days.

Sources familiar with Disney, which was mulling a possible Twitter purchase last week, say the media giant has decided not to move forward.

Earlier today Recode reported that Google, a logical buyer for Twitter who had also was hired a banker to kick the company’s tires, was not going to bid; Apple is also unlikely. Twitter shares dropped 9 percent in after-hours trading.

For now, that leaves Salesforce as the only potential buyer for Twitter, though the company has never confirmed publicly that it wants to make a deal. Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff appeared on CNBC today and refused to comment directly on any interest in Twitter.

With all competing bids gone, look for Benioff, if he’s still interested, to make a takeunder offer — considering the stock is up 37% over the past month. The bankers will justify it by using a 90 day average price, effectively poleaxing all new shareholders of the stock.

Look for Twitter to get ravaged tomorrow.

Designated Survivor is a Demonstration of Liberally Biased Horseshit

After wading through episode two of the new ABC show, Designated Survivor, I got an odd sense that the show was actually concocted by a CIA psyops department —  in an effort to bend the American people to their ravenous will, promoting a perverted vaudeville of pseudo-patriotism and distorted blend of politically correct horseshit,  a half drunken stupor and woefully ineffective assault on the white American nuclear family.

The star of the show, Keifer Sutherland, former hero of the Fox smash hit 24, Jack Bauer, has been emasculated on this show — donning the stupidest fucking glasses humanly possible, completely bereft of basic male qualities, such as courage and virility. He’s a mumbling caricature of an introspective, well meaning, liberally minded, dipshit. After the entire fucking government was blown to smithereens, including the President, every single cabinet member but him, and ALL members of congress, this bipedal primate of a person’s main priority is to protect the civil rights of the muslim population in Michigan — in addition to treating his military advisors like bat-shit war mongers — as he attempts to figure it all out in his stupid as shit Cornell college sweater with a stack of random papers.

His family includes a quasi-annoying and somewhat changeable wife, a little princess daughter, and of course the long haired, haggard looking, drug dealing teenage son. The cast is festooned with a multi cultural, United Nations-like, array of personalities, including the benevolent black FBI leader, all knowing asian FBI agent, stupid as shit blockhead white General — who clamors  to bomb people in almost every scene or plot to overthrow the President, an in control and sharp latino chief of staff, and a middle eastern speech writer — who of course was quickly victimized by two jittery and very blue eyed white cops —  who were racially profiling him as he walked to work.

But don’t worry, later on, one of the white cops made amends with him during a richly cliched candlelit memorial for the dead, approaching him with a subtle menace, asking ‘did you lose someone too’, which was answered in a most melancholy manner ‘I lost everyone.’

The white governor of Michigan took control of his state by randomly interring muslim americans, much to the new President’s chagrin. The governor was definitely written to represent someone evil, like Donald Trump, placing priority on protecting his people by arresting and ordering his police to attack the muslim community. My eyes almost rolled out of my head when the President was addressing a bunch of firemen at ground zero with a bull horn, just like George Bush at the 9/11 site, when suddenly every single person there turned to their magic iPhones to bear witness to a poor muslim teen being beaten to death — WHILE HANDCUFFED — by a pair white cops.

Naturally, said muslim had an American first name.

I won’t watch another episode, but I can guarantee you the true culprit of this outrageously unrealistic terrorist attack was a white male, American, most likely working for the government. Write it down.

As a whole, this show is an insult to the intelligence of man. Being that there are significant production dollars behind it, blessed with a cast of fantastic actors, I can only surmise that the writers of this show are either a foppish group of untalented booze hounds — or they’re being directed and overridden by a delusional band of CIA cellar dwellers– who are relying upon psyops manuals from the 1950s, in a very pathetically comical effort,  to shape public opinion.

This show is written by idiots.

Twitter Bidding Frenzy Turns Out to Be a Fairytale, Stock Shifts to Implode Mode in Harrowing After Hours Session

Over the past month, shares of TWTR have risen by more than 35% on speculation that someone, anyone, would make a bid for the disheveled money losing social media giant.  In recent days, the sociopath, Mark Benioff from Saleforce.com, has been in the press for possibly having an interest in Twitter, in spite of the fact that there are zero synergies between the two companies, whatsoever.

Recode is out with a note of caution tonight, saying both Apple and Google couldn’t care less about the ongoings of Jack and his retarded band of social justice warriors at Twitter. Additionally, they believe the recent rumor milling is due to investment bankers trying to gin up hype for the potential bidders to bid MOAR.

Source: Recode
According to sources close to the situation, Google does not currently plan to make a bid for Twitter. While the search giant has been among the buyers considered most likely to be a contender for the social communications company, those familiar with the deal said that the company was not moving forward with an effort to buy it at this time.

In addition, several sources Recode has spoken to this week also said that Apple was unlikely to be one of the possible suitors, with one saying Twitter should have “low expectations” of getting an offer from the tech giant.

That should tamp down the frenzied speculation around a possible Twitter sale since Salesforce began no-commenting noisily with regard to possible interest in acquiring it a few weeks ago.

The news set in motion a series of ever more breathless reports of bankers being hired and a bidding process being started. Much of this is due to said bankers trying to gin up excitement around a sale of Twitter, creating as much interest as possible to spike up the price. After all, it can’t be just Salesforce’s Marc Benioff running around flashing wads of cash!

Still, let’s be clear: The process of selling Twitter is happening, as has been much reported. While Salesforce has indeed been the most aggressive possible buyer, Disney has also been mulling a bid (though Peter Kafka thinks it is a dumb move), along with a range of other players in telecom, media and private equity.

That’s why there was much hubbub around a recent report that Google had tapped Lazard to look at a Twitter bid. (Wheee! They hired a banker! In reality, the investment bank is Google’s longtime M&A adviser on retainer and looks at every possible deal for it.)

By the way, a lack of a Twitter bid by Google or Apple probably raises the likelihood that you are never going to see one from Facebook either.

It is much the same for Apple, said sources, noting that the focus there remains on its flagship consumer products and not on social networks. While Twitter’s foray into mobile video distribution is compelling, sources note that Apple can benefit from that without owning or managing it. And, of course, paying upwards of $20 billion for it.

The stock is down by more than 9% in the after hours.

California Makes Formal Request to Offer Obamacare to Illegal Immigrants

What is an ‘illegal immigrant’ to a foreign entity, who is not American, anyway? The Mexicans pouring into the country are viewed in the same way as the Syrians  pouring into Germany: opportunity for an abundant amount of cheap labor. As the anglo-saxon gene pool shrinks, the factories in Germany and the lawns in southern California need to be tended to. As such, having an open door immigration policy, afforded with Federally subsidized health insurance, as a sort of lure for desperate grass cutter south of the border, is in the best interests of the cabal of multi national globalists elite dick sucking oligarchs.

Did I make myself clear?

In a Sept. 30 letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell, Covered California’s Executive Director Peter Lee said that the Affordable Care Act has been “tremendously successful” in the state and has cut the rate of uninsured in half.

“While millions of Californians have benefitted from coverage purchased through the Covered California marketplace, certain individuals are prohibited from buying insurance through our state marketplace due to their immigration status,” Lee wrote, before requesting the waiver.

The Affordable Care Act technically bars illegal immigrants from insurance exchanges, but in June Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill that allowed the state to apply for a federal waiver to open Covered California to illegal immigrants living in California. The bill’s sponsor said such a waiver would allow 390,000 illegal immigrants to receive health insurance.

The financial security and personal well being of the native populace is a secondary concern. We’ve seen multiple reports that indicate Obamacare is on the verge of collapse and failure. It will need a government bailout to continue.

Report: Hillary Clinton Planted Child Actress at Rally to Ask Question, Depicting Trump as ‘Damaging’ Towards Young Women

The ever popular H.R. Clinton campaign, who seemingly are unable to attract small crowds to her highly sought after speeches, have been caught bussing in attendees and now have been caught — red handed — planting a child actress with democratic ties to ask her a question about the many and great evils of Donald Trump.

Here is what she asked Hillary

“Hi Madam Secretary. I’m Brennan and I’m 15 years old. At my school, body image is a really big issue for girls my age. I see with my own eyes the damage Donald Trump does when he talks about women and how they look. As the first female president how would you undo some of that damage and help girls understand that they’re so much more than just what they look like?”

Hillary’s response.

“I’m so proud of you for asking that question. You are right — my opponent has just taken this concern to a new level of difficulty and meanness. And, it’s shocking when women are called names and judged solely on the basis of physical attributes.

“My opponent insulted Miss Universe. I mean, how do you get more acclaimed than that? But, it wasn’t good enough. So we can’t take any of this seriously any more. We need to laugh at it. We need to refute it. We need to ignore it. And we need to stand up to it.”

Youtube Spanglevision has the analysis.

And the fuckery continues, but not unabated.

$ALNY Blows Up in the After-Hours, Leaving FBR Analyst in Shambles

Biotech has been the sole denizen for extreme profit over the past decade, especially since the vultures in silicon valley privately fund all of the really good investment opportunities and only release them from their greedy fucking mittens when valuations exceed that of anything considered to be normal. But every once in a while, the biotech mine field claims a victim. In the after hours session, Chris James, biotech analyst at FBR, is very busy wiping off a bucket of eggs that was just tossed into his stupid face — following months of ALNY pumping — depending on both weak and bad information.

Shares of ALNY are off by a staggering 40% in the after hours after suspending research into an experimental RNAi drug called Revusiran.

alny

Via Briefing.com

The co announced that upon the recommendation of the ENDEAVOUR Phase 3 study Data Monitoring Committee to suspend dosing, the Company has decided to discontinue development of revusiran, an investigational RNA interference therapeutic that was being developed for the treatment of hereditary ATTR amyloidosis with cardiomyopathy. This decision was made yesterday evening and has been communicated to investigators, study sites, and regulatory authorities.

Following recent reports in the Phase 2 OLE study of new onset or worsening peripheral neuropathy, the ENDEAVOUR DMC assembled yesterday at the Company’s request to review these reports and ENDEAVOUR data on an unblinded basis. The DMC did not find conclusive evidence for a drug-related neuropathy signal in the ENDEAVOUR trial, but informed the Company that the benefit-risk profile for revusiran no longer supported continued dosing. The Company subsequently reviewed unblinded ENDEAVOUR data which revealed an imbalance of mortality in the revusiran arm as compared to placebo.

The decision to discontinue development of revusiran does not affect patisiran, which is currently in Phase 3 development for the treatment of hATTR amyloidosis with polyneuropathy (hATTR-PN), or any other Alnylam investigational RNAi therapeutic program in development.

Based on a current assessment of the safety data across the Company’s other programs, which include the ALN-PCSsc program partnered with The Medicines Company, there is no evidence of a drug-related neuropathy signal in over 800 treated subjects and patients with exposure of up to 34 months. This includes patisiran, which utilizes a lipid nanoparticle delivery formulation, and the seven other clinical programs in Alnylam’s pipeline, which all use Enhanced Stabilization Chemistry (ESC) GalNAc delivery technology. ESC-GalNAc conjugates enable dose and exposure levels that are 12-30 times lower than revusiran, which uses Standard Template Chemistry (STC) GalNAc delivery technology. The Company reaffirms its “Alnylam 2020” guidance and remains committed to the advancement of these investigational RNAi therapeutics for treatment of diseases with high unmet medical need.

Here is what C. James penned on July the 5th, 2016 — reiterating his insane price target of $180 for ALNY.

Alnylam Pharma: Data at ISA highlight sustained benefit in hATTR-PN; Phase III ENDEAVOR time line accelerated — FBR noting they had an opportunity to speak with mgmt; four key takeaways: (1) Initial 24-month patisiran data support potential halting of disease progression with a mean mNIS+7 score decrease of 6.7 points, from baseline at 24 months, versus an expected mean increase of 26–30 points; (2) baseline characteristics from the Phase III APOLLO study with patisiran reflect the global patient population; (3) despite unclear results from the Phase II OLE study with revusiran, firm believes the Phase III ENDEAVOR study, which is enrolling faster than anticipated, will be well positioned to determine clinical benefit from revusiran; (4) both patisiran and revusiran were generally well tolerated, with one, possibly drug-related, serious adverse event of lactic acidosis reported in the Phase II OLE study with revusiran.Overall, they believe these data reaffirm patisiran’s potential to be ALNY’s first approved RNAi therapeutic, and they look forward to the Phase III APOLLO readout, expected in mid 2017.

They know nothing.

The EU is Requesting British News Agencies Refrain From Reporting Terrorist Attacks Are Related to Islam

In a utopian society, we could all traverse the planet, drinking from leather bags filled with wine, laughing and eating until our stomachs explode. In the real world, however, there are retrogrades who’ve taken the most perverse part of Islam and weaponized it to ferment a holy war. While the people committing these acts of terrorism aren’t representative of the vast majority of muslim people, they certainly are on the rise and their followers are growing by the hour.

Enter the catamites at the EU and their solution to solve the inconvenient issue of islamic terrorism.

Ready for it?

Simply stop reporting on it. Bang, presto, problem solved!

Unfortunately, applying psych 101 methods, which has largely defeated streakers at baseball stadiums from interrupting ball games, — that probably won’t work with people who couldn’t give a shit about teevee exposure or a headline in a local rag. The very essence of the people who commit these acts is to either kill or convert others to islam. The reporting of said events in the local newspapers only serve to protect citizens and to build awareness of the threats that face them.

To that point, if the media had done with the EU is asking of Britain now, countless terrorist attacks that were thwarted, thanks to alert citizens advocating on behalf of law enforcement, would’ve been successfully implemented by the terrorists — leading to the deaths of  hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent people.

A report from the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) found there was an increase in hate speech and racist violence in the UK from 2009 to March 2016.

Blaming the press, ECRI Chair Christian Ahlund, said: “It is no coincidence that racist violence is on the rise in the UK at the same time as we see worrying examples of intolerance and hate speech in the newspapers, online and even among politicians.”

The report makes a whopping 23 recommendations to Theresa May’s Government for changes to criminal law, the freedom of the press, crime reporting and equality law.

And despite the report not analyzing coverage of the historic Brexit vote, Mr Ahlund saw fit to comment on the UK’s decision to leave the EU.

In a sweeping statement, he said: “The Brexit referendum seems to have led to a further rise in ‘anti-foreigner’ sentiment, making it even more important that the British authorities take the steps outlined in our report as a matter of priority.”

The report lays into the British press and urges the government to “give more rigorous training” to reporters.

In the 83-page report, the Commission said: “ECRI considers that, in light of the fact that Muslims are increasingly under the spotlight as a result of recent ISIS-related terrorist acts around the world, fuelling prejudice against Muslims shows a reckless disregard, not only for the dignity of the great majority of Muslims in the United Kingdom, but also for their safety.

“In this context, it draws attention to a recent study by Teeside University suggesting that where the media stress the Muslim background of perpetrators of terrorist acts, and devote significant coverage to it, the violent backlash against Muslims is likely to be greater than in cases where the perpetrators’ motivation is downplayed or rejected in favour of alternative explanations.”

Despite the creation of the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) in 2014 as an independent regulator for newspapers and magazines, the “ECRI strongly recommends that the authorities find a way to establish an independent press regulator according to the recommendations set out in the Leveson Report. It recommends more rigorous training for journalists to ensure better compliance with ethical standards.”

These are truly staggering and delusional recommendations. Not only do they want the government to explicitly ‘train’ reporters on how to interrupt the news, they also want them to ensure that when reporting on terrorist attacks that newspapers do not mention it was done by persons of the islamic persuasion — in order to battle the true enemy of the west — racism.

Unbelievable.
