There would be no point in having a NATO, if NATO abandoned their members, so I can’t see them doing that. As for the EU, I can’t imagine there still being an EU in 10 years. Things that don’t work, fall apart.

Hands down, the U.K. and America won ww2. Russia had no supplies. We were shipping them ammo, supplies and food the whole time, and providing intelligence. The British did most of the heavy lifting, helped by lend lease.

It’s true we sent them supplies, mostly heavy trucks and food, some planes too, but the European war was won by Russians before we ever touched Italy. We lost half a million service men in WW2, England and her colonies lost 400,000, and Russia lost between 9 and 15 million. The Russians held at St Petersburg and Moscow and Stalingrad, they had advanced all the way back across Russia and then destroyed the German army at Kursk before we were even in Italy. The majority of the fighting was done in Russia by Soviets and Germans. All undeniable facts. I’ll check Churchill’s books out. He was half American, that was his great secret!
I really would have sworn that Russia was 50% of the effort and the UK did little. I’ll have to read a lot more WWII history. Churchill can be trusted to be unbiased?
