Amnesty International: Mexican Police Routinely Rape and Torture Innocent People

The fucking Federales are out of control, indicative of a savage society in dire need of a northern wall.

Amnesty International is out with a scathing and riveting report on the many forms of abuse being committed by police and soldiers–mainly targeting indigent peoples living out their lives in squalor. Sixty four percent of people polled said they didn’t feel safe from torture. No wonder they want to come clean dishes in America. Their country is a cesspool.

Yecenia Armenta is describing her ordeal. “The [policemen] said they would bring my children, rape them and cut them up into pieces. After many hours of torture, and after they’d raped me, I said I would sign whatever they wanted. They took me down from where they had me hanging naked. I signed the confession – still blindfolded. I never read what I signed.”

Last year Ángel Colón walked free after 20,000 Amnesty activists sent messages to the Mexican authorities demanding his release. Ángel, a Honduran migrant seeking work to support his gravely ill son, had been picked up by the Mexican police and soldiers, and brutally tortured until he ‘confessed’ to crimes he did not commit. As a result, he spent five years in prison and while independent medics confirmed he was tortured, the authorities never investigated his claims. He is still seeking justice today.

Most of the women in prison who spoke to Amnesty International said they were sexually abused, beaten, electro-shocked, touched and groped during detention and interrogations. The vast majority have been accused of organized crime or drug related offences. Many were presented to the media as “criminals” straight after they were forced to “confess” to the crimes. Most come from low income backgrounds, which makes them less likely to be able to afford an effective defense.

Mónica, a 26-year-old mother of four, was gang-raped by six police officers, received electroshocks to her genitals, was suffocated with a plastic bag and had her head plunged into a bucket of water in the city of Torreón, Coahuila state in northern Mexico on 12 February 2013. Security officials tried to force her to confess to being part of a criminal gang. She was also forced to watch as her brother and husband were tortured in front of her.

After the torture, police took Mónica, her brother and her husband to the Federal Attorney General´s Office. On the way, her husband died in her arms as a result of the torture he had suffered. Afterwards, Mónica was forced to sign a “confession” saying she was part of a drug cartel.

Build the wall.

Recalling fondly my recent encounter with the Federales outside Cancun last year for doing 20mph in a 15. It only cost me $125, a bargain. The State Dept manuals actually tell you to not give bribes. LOL. The officer was a very nice man.

That’s just the po-lice. The cartel thugs make the federales look like PeeWee Herman. Aye, the wall should go up. I lock the doors to my house at night, not because I’m a racist, xenophobe or hate the people who are outside. I do it because I love the ones who live in my house.

I leave the windows open and leave the rest to my large dogs. No worries here.

yes build two rows of fence and put pitbulls in between. china’s great wall is nice looking but we want something that works and is low cost.

Looks like china maybe getting some cash tho, with some forced selling.

I say just invade Mexico and declare it part of the US. It would only take a battalion of Marines and about 4 days.

SAVAGE af! What pieces of shit. Not sure what we can do to help south of the border but if conditions were better they wouldn’t have such a need to come here.

Obama and the Dems are encouraging this behavior….shame on those fucked faces too!

I agree with Bernie that the U.S. has the right to decide who comes here and who doesn’t and how many. But the wall seems expensive, and impractical, especially in view of the fact that people can build tunnels.

Mexican police and soldiers who can literally get away with murder are likely to stay in Mexico. It’s their victims who would more likely want to come here. But, as Bernie says, we still need to decide what our limits are. Open borders would not be a reasonable policy.

We could have had all the way to the tip of Baja Sur but the Mexicans were afraid of the challenges of defending the 1,000 mile Sea of Cortez… Dammit!

This is exactly one of the reasons why the US shouldn’t torture bad guys: good guys will confess to anything under sufficient duress.

The US could greatly reduce these incidents quite easily because Mexico is one of our largest trading partners. Of course, I don’t have to tell you who where the rape of indigenous women falls when compared to cheap oil and consumer goods…
