We voted for the Congress we got & they are doing what we voted them in to do. Repubs get elected to keep taxes low. Dems get elected to keep the social safety net in place. No deal is possible.
Although approval ratings for Congress as a whole are low, people usually vote their own Congress person back in– as long as he or she takes care of what their district wants & refuses to compromise. No Congress person cares about the nation as a whole. But then no one voted for any Congress person to do that.
“All politics is local”.

Since Bloomberg is fairly popular, you fucking asshole, I look at their futures quotes. If that is not the correct value, I was curious as to why and how the fair value is calculated. I also have seen the fair value quotes but thanks for the link.
I think most of us just figure it in our head. Just look at the closing value of the s&p cash and then estimate the discount to cash on the futures contract you are looking at which is usually 1 to 3 bucks. Do some maths and voila.
Don’t worry about it. When discussing “fair” value in an enterprise that is anything but “fair” it matters not what is reported.
