Dems don’t have facts, they use repetition until some idea is embedded into their psyche. statistics are another form of lies because most of them don’t actually know about standard deviation and variance to understand that a statistical fact is only a strong correlation given the sample size. If Obama is ahead in the polls, it only means based on the sample size he is ahead in the polls at the given moment but he’s within the margin of error, so you cannot be 90% that over the entire population that if everyone were to vote immediately that he would win. Over the course of a campaign, a large majority of the people will change their mind anyways.

On the contrary, the policies of 2001 to 2008 are what CAUSED this recession — (1) An 8 year war fought with a big budget, but without one ounce of congressional funding of said war; (2) Two tax cuts enacted around the beginning of the decade, ALSO unaccompanied by ANY balance sheet corrections to the spending side; and
(3) A financial crisis in 2008 that has reduced GDP, personal, and corporate income levels substantially so as to FURTHER erode the tax base.
Starting 9 months into the current administration, the economy has ADDED 4.5 million jobs. The current administration has attempted NUMEROUS times to compromise with significant cuts in government spending tied to significant increases in upper-echelon taxes, not even as high as the levels prior to year 2000, actually quite reasonable levels if you look back 10, 20, 30 years. All of the job creation bills have been KILLED by spiteful republicans eager to make the opposition party administration look bad before elections.
The current administration is attempting to get a compromise between lower spending and higher taxes — to massively kill spending with government layoffs will just sink the economy into a DEPRESSION rather than the current RECESSION, which is arguably slowly receding.

The guy gets elected in the middle of a massive recession with layoffs in a free fall and proceeds to use up all of his political capital, over the next year and a half, to pass a health care bill which does nothing to control costs and most people don’t even like. Then he spends the next two years blaming others for anything that goes wrong during his watch, extends the Patriot Act, signs NDAA on News Years Eve, gives endless speeches on why we need to pass a tax increase on 1% of the population which does almost nothing to reduce the deficit and then goes and plays golf.
What’s not to like?
