Bombs Are Readying to Drop

You know what I find amazing?

I cannot believe Corning and Asahi Glass can’t profit from the boom in smartphones and tablets. Those fucking imbeciles are too busy fixing on a price war than fleecing the drug dealers at Apple and Samsung. Shares of GLW are bouncing this morning; but this stock has been such a dog. It’s one of those head-scratchers that just seems to suck, continuously, without pause.

Shares of DECK are getting lit the fuck up. In general, analysts suck balls. But Sam Poser from Sterne Agee has nailed DECK the whole way, on the long and short side. He’s saying pricing for Uggs is over and to expect deep margin compression. His target is $38. I’d stay away from DECK until he’s remotely optimistic.

Early going I am down 0.25%, with NAK being my biggest winner.

On a personal level, I’ve been dealing with general contractors performing magical acts of disappearance, once money hits their accounts. Like lawyers, contractors are a reprehensible group of people. They are a stupid class of worker, who takes pride in doing poor work and flaking out on their customers. Right away, I am sure some of you construction fuckers out there will say “we’re not all the same.” I’ve employed dozens of contractors in my time, and without equivocation, they all suck.

Shares of GRPN and ZNGA are rising. GRPN has some lunatic device idea. To be honest, as opposed to outright lying to you, both GRPN and ZNGA are cheap stocks.

Lastly, I like what OSTK is doing these days. I’ve been buying stuff from the site and find them to be better than AMZN in numerous product categories. It will not surprise me to see the shares continue to rise.

I agree with you one the contractors Fly, and had many a bad experience until our last home purchase where I hooked up wit a good crew. The difference was, I was the contractor and subbed (sic) out all the work, with one crew doing everything except hard wood and tile. I bought all the materials on my card so there was no padding going on, and I paid only once milestones were achieved. We had broken the whole reno down into multiple projects with time lines. Worked out well for once. Good luck and keep those buggers on a short leash!

As a former practicing Barrister (and still a current member of the Bar) I would disagree.
Only 95% suck.
The other 5% quit and are doing something to enrich their lives (like day trading stocks).

Okay, fair enough TC., I’ll give you the 5%. However the media are 99% Cocksuckers – esp The NY Times, BBC and CNN…

There really is no more media in this country.
It’s all advocacy “journalism” (and I use this term very loosely).
Crimes much worse than Watergate have happened over the years but nothing except *crickets*.

Having dealt with renovation contractors for much of the last 4 years – next time put a clause in the contract that if they do not finish the job by X date, you will deduct $Y per day of overrun.

We built on a room for my mother who was dying and I wanted her to be with us not in a hospital. The contractor knew that. I made the mistake of paying him everything to fast and he left my mother with a room half done he took us for 30Kn and could give a shit about a 79 year old women on her death bed

Phony hypocrites. They hate lawyers until they get into an accident, etc., then they are the first ones to get an attorney and sue.

It’s true. I will likely use a lawyer to sue the contractor. How’s that for irony?

Landscaping contractors really grind my gears. I spent 2 hours trying to repair the shitty tree planting they did. They literally dug a small hole and dumped the root ball in there burlap and all. But they did a great creating a tree mulch volcano. Fuckers…And all the neighbors got all horny and added more black mulch. Fuckers will see in 3 years when their trees are dead.
