Disaster Averted

This morning I was getting the stuffing kicked out of me in NFLX and PPC. But as the stock Gods would have it, my fortune reversed and went higher, eradicating my losses–turning my day into profit.

My Romney/ Fuck the EPA play, NAK, soared, based upon the caprices of perverted speculators. Secondly, my holdings in PLCM, LOGM,VHC, MCK, ESRX and CVO went deep into green territory, allowing me to gain nearly 0.5%. This is truly amazing, all things considered.

Because of the tone of the market, I went all in, selling out of HDGE for a small profit and reallocating assets into stocks, taking cash levels down to 10%. Granted, this might end up being a foolhardy move, especially since the market has re-reversed lower into the close of trade. But I’ve been sitting in the sidelines for the better half of one month now and I am sick and fucking tired of taking the easy route. I want this shit to be hard, NFLXing and MRVLing my way towards victory.

In short, “The Fly won again, even though you thought for sure he was going to perish amidst a car filled with lit dynamite sticks.

In Dallas driving down a major freeway now in a large traffic jam. There’s a huge electronic billboard saying that there is an accident in the two left lanes are blocked expect major delays or take an alternate route. I can see that the traffic in the left two lanes is moving along fine while the right 2 are not moving at all. Also Inrix app on phone indicates the accident is in the right lane. I said Screw It I’m going left and proceed to cruise on by the jam. The people that are heeding the sign are getting punished. Reminds me of stock market news indicates we are going down while the movement is upward. Crazy or maybe not.

FB with a sliver of a positive announcement after hours. Zuckerburg says he won’t sell any for at least a year and Andreesen said he is holding indefinitely. This may lead to a decent bounce as people have been waiting for an excuse to get in. At less than half the IPO price this can jump quick on any good news. 20-30% gain in few months is not an unreasonable expectation. Full disclosure: I started a position today @ 17.70.

Now that the firms have nothing to gain by trying to trick Zuck into selling at low valuations (since they know he will not sell for a while), they will probably push it up.

It’s a good thing corporations attained personhood in light of the apparent cornapocalyptic conditions. A marketaggedon? Whether it’s dynamite explosives or an act of god, it seems pretty volatile around here, just going by an even more ignorant position than reading the news — depending only on the iBC instead! ; )

..or as science would say, “survival of the fittest.” (Fittest, those who FIT best into the new environment, not like a fitness program–easy way to remember the difference come test time!! :)
