The Chinese Fraud, Revisited

Let’s just assume the entire country of China is exactly like their RTO’s, woefully represented in our markets.

Here’s the problem with that video. Every department store from sea to shining sea in these here United States is chock full of shit made in China. They could build an entire fucking ghost planet and they still have our jobs and enough excess cash to buy our tbills, and the entire state of Idaho (which they are working on now).

Don’t shed a tear for China, that video and Dubai just show much the US has pissed away their money and future.

But hey, it was a fun ride!

It would take 25 years for the policy change to affect housing rates. Also, many already pay fines and have multiple children.

When I was in Shunghai last year, a few of us decided to go to a “Sports Complex” on a Saturday. There were huge Olympic style pools, all empty. There were 4 or 5 massive lake to rent mini-power and paddle boats, no renters. Then, we went inside to play billiards. 100 tables, 5 customers, including us. C+I+I+G+E=Sick Growth

Was in china in the late 90s, Beijing living sure has not changed and neither has the attitude “basic right”. Population will scream, leaders will demand action and developers and some low level politician will meet up with a single shot in the back of the head – problem solved, now move along.

They need to keep building and rebuilding in order to keep the unwashed masses working and local govs need to continuously post nice growth numbers or they’ll be shot

Doesn’t anyone ever find it interesting how their GDP numbers are almost linear? And have been for some time

They are putting patch work on the euro and helping kick the can down the road

The remy martin in me says this is a good way for the us to get china to piss away as much of their fx reserves as possible

This is a way to delay/stop the power shift to the east

Saw this a few months ago. Unreal.

This is “fraudulent growth” pure and simple.
There is no “complex, interweaving, economic theory/conspiracy.”

China wants to project growth and will gladly “categorize” any economic activity as “growth”.
Most just look at the data coming out of the sleeping dragon and “believe”.

Perhaps IBC could market a new energy drink?
Load it up with “Fish Oil’s and Omega 3’s”.
    Call it “Critical Thinking.”

I’ll put Tim Seymour down for 1 case.

I can show you a bunch of nice new commercial buildings sitting empty in my town. They were stupidly built when easy financing was available. The “A” locations are still doing well, the ‘B” locations are sitting empty.

Maybe we should just be glad that the Chinese don’t practice the same method of increasing GDP that the U.S. does– having wars with countries that are no threat to us, so that the government can pay the military industrial complex companies huge sums of money for weapons and fuel to destroy things– and then the government pay s these companies more money to rebuild the things they just destroyed.

And somehow the U.S. government ends up with a huge national debt. I wonder how that happened.

Interesting video. For some reason I doubt that 64 Million number is even close to being right. You realize how many high rises that is?

Regardless, the truth remains that they have way overbuilt.

I am sure the Chinese have a plan for how to deal with this problem. I figure when the bubble bursts, they give basically give away the new housing to people who need it.

What else would you want them to do with their massive trade surplus? They can actually use these new high rises as a way to prevent mass chaos. Those that stay in line get new nice homes, and those that revolt get killed or left in their shanty village.

Well, truthfully, IDK WTF to think.
It seems to me the majority of wage earners in China live in our equivalent of slums and they are slowly being pushed out to, where, as they cannot afford the type of housing being built and left vacant. Yet, they work, in spite of their demoralizing situation, and they work hard. Please don’t tell me happiness is “not about having the material things in life” when I see a Chinese couple working hard and yet being forced to see their daughter only once a year because they cannot afford a home to raise a child. In the meanwhile, our poor people have a zillion kids and somehow find a way to get compensated for it by our government, while NOT working hard at all, except for baby manufacturing. Really, it seems to me even the poorest of Chinese in this video have shown principles and tenacity in the face of a dire predicament while the basic civilities of our society deteriorate to the point of embarrassment.

I usually do try to post clean, grammatically correct comments, being a former journalist I at least try. I think I spent too much time on it and when I pressed “submit” the comment went to moderation. I tried “cut and paste” and the same thing happened. No biggee, I’ve moved onto other stuff, like cleaning my darn house.

This publication has news on China. http://www.epochtimes.com Two bridges recently partially collapsed. Anecdotal stories can be misleading but when enough stories accumulate you realize that China has too many people versus the natural resources available (never mind India and the rest of Asia) and the world’s new no. 1 polluter and energy user has big problems ahead and Jimmy Rogers still does not recognize it.

Since China is a centrally planned government-controlled economy, I guess they could just lower the rents and move in the huge number of Chinese that are crowded into inadequate housing now. The government would take a bath on the cost of building all those buildings, of course. But at least they wouldn’t sit empty and deteriorating.

Interesting to see where a centrally planned economy, that is making some moves toward capitalism and increased private enterprise, ends up. Because of the complete government control, it could end up differently than the housing bubble here– though not necessarily better.

Flyaway– I think computer programs for people submitting comments don’t let you post if you take a long time to type, Maybe they assume that your comment must be 20 paragraphs long.

Did we get roasted over the coals on that one. I’m glad you had fun dancing on the beach. I washed the floors in my house today, lol, a job which I detest.
