I don’t feel like worrying about stocks today. I will make a real effort to keep my 60% cash position intact. While the Swiss Franc makes new highs versus the dollar, you idiots look to buy dips. While nuclear power plants melt the fuck down, turning Japan into a wasteland, you buy dips.
You are the type of person that would give instructions in your will to buy dips upon your unfortunate death.
I have a great interest in napping. Rich folk need rest, for there is much work to be done later on. Plus anyway, I mustn’t go without proper sleep ahead of National Beer day (St. Patrick’s Day).
Bottom line: I am now a nuclear scientist and I am telling you that power plant at Fukushima is going to explode. It’s like a fucking terrorist dream come true. For the record, if you still like uranium stocks, you’re an idiot!

What happened to the Blog commentary on the right side of the front page??
Yea…that was a nice feature.
JBTFD now means Just Break The Fuck Down or Japan Burning The Fukushima Down
The word of the day is “Nuclear”
lmao… rich people need to rest.
Xanax and Red Wine always helps
how much exposure does C have to japan?
22% of their 2010 revenue was from Asia… The source I am using doesn’t break down into specific countries…
How did you get ahold of my will?
Fuck PESI
Shut up. If you can’t handle a little loss in your baby account, then you need to go buy an annuity.
a LITTLE LOSS you Pleb.??
let’s recap The Fly’s Picks AND me Stupidly Following:
BORN = -5%
AVL = -18%
PSUN = -19%
PESI = -14%
The only one that he Picked and I didn’t choose to follow was #@$!@$#@ WNR.
so Fuck it
Fly got out of PSUN with minimal damage, sucker of cocks. If you’re going to follow him in, remember to follow him out too.
I lost .05 on PSUN and very little on AVL. I held it for one day.
Do me a favor and DO NOT FOLLOW MY TRADES.
A word is granted!
Speak, or hold your piece!
Just call us “Dipshits”.
Neighbor Fly, please thank Mrs. Fly for the eggs and hash browns this morning. She is a real mensch, although it is not easy eating with this radiation suit on. Please tell Pepe to stop fight with Luis. I just found out they have the same muchacha. Also, Enrique wants you to ask Mrs. Fly to bring salsa with the eggs next time.

Anyone have any insight as to what OPEN is doing?
It is marking time in a sideways pattern on multi month chart…82.89ish is key support, 55MA…bet it finally breaks under it and it moves fast and hard to the downside.
As I sit here sipping on my charonnay, I wait patiently as all my morning dip buys turn into a Pot of Gold!
For the record, if you still like uranium stocks, you’re an idiot!
Yeah, I would much rather on PESI than CCJ right now…
Crack spreads +2%.
REFINERS
Fly,
Just trying to understand how the crack spread moves here. So, is it going up just because japanese refiners are down? shouldn’t the lack of consumption of oil in japan offset the fact that japanese refineries are down?
yes to your 1: , no to your 2
why no to my 2?
any under supply, or over supply usually gets smoothed out in global trading, and there really still using oil there, just cant supply themselves in the manner that they are used to. hence they still import the oil and do their own refining, the volume for them may slow down but they will still need it for the rest of the country that is still standing. they are already talking about restarting 5 auto plants,BUT,they may slow down or shut some down outside of japan. also,if you have been looking at the rbob,it has come down.but the price at the pump hasnt changed. according to the rbob’s price @2.85=3.29 at the pump…….hasnt budged and gas is at 3.76-4.00 right now.
Japanese oil consumption is down but they are still using a bunch. With reduced refinery capacity they have to import gasoline, diesel, etc from other refiners. Also, spot oil prices decline.
this is worth reading on the nuke problem.

Aside from his “agenda” of the ridiculous global warming slant… that was a great article and I was thinking the same thing.
Obama has said Japan will immediately fix the melted down reactors with GE fabricated wind turbines while he sips on spent fuel rod toddies and nibbles on cheese itz.
In otherwords, nothing to see here good fucking timez
HEY,i was only i ballin uranium till plant fucka-me-a decided to have a bowl movement. also, we all know that when st.patty’s day comes, you have to prime yourself a day ahead, just dont mix wine with green beer, your asshole wont forgive ya.
Looky looky WNR is FLYing
A little nu ku lar perspective.
In light of the fact that some here may be incapable of generating any thoughts of their own, relying totally on what passes for main stream media news these days, I think it would be appropriate to mention the following fact.
Melting down 7 (and all 7 are in trouble) reactors in Japan will indeed have life altering and tragic consequences, it would do us well to recall that in the middle of the last century the US, Britain, Russia, France, et al. all conducted above ground nuclear tests (detonated bombs) for a good period of time. Those tests released far more radiation and fallout into the atmosphere than will occur from the failure of all 7 nuke plants currently in the process of doing so in Japan. And………ready for this?………none of us glow in the dark. No children were born with 9 eyes or 6 legs. Cows did not grow wings. Carnivorous earthworms did not appear.
I’m not down playing the significance of this tragedy one iota. It is a terrible event on top of a terrible event. It will not however, cause the end of the world as we know it nor will it bring an end to nuclear power generation. There are no other viable alternatives for power production with the exception of natural gas and coal.
chernobyl, when it blew,so much radiation fell on the earth, you know, the same earth that cows, chickens and goats graze on. lots of those people perished from long term consumption that those very animals ate from the earth…….just expect beef prices to go sky high now. because this week,in all major ads from the grocery stores are already reflecting the re-shifting of food to japan , ,how about 10 limes for 10 bucks. i have the flyer here for where my baby works,it’s the biggest produce market in chicago….10 limes for 10 bucks.WTF. i told her. so yea…the 100 dollar tomatoe is here, it just has many colors other than red.
Some of which is attributable to the Fuku—– meltdown and some is attributable to the bearded one in the helicopter. I am not enough of a market strategist to lay a percentage to each but I would offer that the largest portion of the above noted price increase would lay at the feet of the Bernank. Escalation of prices began long before the FukuNukeThing came into play.
And some of it is due to bad weather globally. Floods, droughts, frozen alligators, etc.
Well put heaterman. I’m in congruence with all of that. My mom lived in Nevada for a little while as a girl. When it snowed, she ate some. She had radiation blisters all over her mouth, throat, and hands, even though she lived almost 300 km away from the Nevada Test Site. Her dad is 94 and doing fine, and her bothers and sister and her are all hale too.
This fear and panic is unwarranted and overdone. ESPECIALLY in Uranium stocks.
Idiot out.
I don’t think a lot of those above ground nuclear tests were conducted in the vicinity of cities like Tokyo.
Some hedge fund just went belly up. Look at the force selling in the past 15 mins. LOL
sorry thought no one was watching
No the EU guy opened his big french mouth. obviously without any insight.
One thing is for absolute certain. The Eurotards are the biggest bunch of panicking pu$$ies the world has ever seen.
I just feel like buying the dip today.
thank you I am going to add, “buy any dip” to my will.
Pussy or not. This market has more room to drop. I say perhaps 1250 Sp500 is probably the target.
I still like uranium stocks that are 40 or 50% off their highs.
“For the record, if you still like uranium stocks, you’re an idiot!” – per le fly
Look at my name on that post.
Sorry Phobos, you have so many names, tough to keep track of them all.
No problem. 😉

The World is Ending – Apple is down $13 and has broken its 50-day MA.
Talk about the Swissy….they come out with Interest Rates tonight. IMHO, the price of a rate hike by the ECB next month is already priced in, YET, with Japan I bet they won’t do it. JPY and CHF are way too strong vs USD, exp with the somewhat better FOMC minutes yesterday. At least the OZ is below 1.0000. Shorts in USD should be getting squeezed pretty soon, way too crowded of a trade.
So this appears to be a game changer. New nukes will be problematic for a while. So what will step into the void? Solar and wind can’t deliver the big time gigawatts. Coal too dirty, nukes too costly, that leaves NG. NG burns clean and the power plants are less capex intensive. You just take something like a 747 jet engine and spin a generator with it. They still exhaust carbon dioxide which is blamed for global warming, but we may find that’s rubbish, or develop ways to capture it. NG is relatively cheap now.
Yeah
Smart money is quietly moving into natural gas for huge returns in 2-3 years.
Can’t be bothered now. I have a tee time in one hour. Tell Hillary or Joe to take care of whatever.
Jumped in with Fly on WNR days back. Thanks Fly
Today, the dip buyers get their salads tossed. Wall Street is never predictable.
Fly,
What would get you bearish to the point of shorting?
A bald beaver waiving a red flag clutching an empty can of gasoline with gold spray paint on it
That was very nearly the Oregon state quarter.
Apparently a suburb somewhere “Ducked” that idea.
Looks to me like a replay of the Crash of 1987. Wild gyrations in Sept
and October, market down somewhat on option Expiration Day Oct 16,
then a THIRTY PERCENT DROP on Monday Oct 19.
How would you Dip Buyers like a FOUR THOUSAND POINT DOWNDAY on Monday?
I don’t know the current status of Circuit Breakers.

Try to start #winning
OK. How about a THIRTY SIX HUNDRED point downday March 21?
I’m starting to reconsider that intern offer Charlie.
