Those names will be fine additions to my distinguished holdings in OXY, PWRD, MOTR, PWER, TTWO, RAS, BBRG, C, WTI, EXK, CHLN, FORM, TEVA, OCZ and CRIC. Clearly, as evidenced by my “big dicked” purchases, I am not fucking around. The cash position now stands at 11% aka “fully invested.” I will take your sell tickets and kindly place them in my drawer. There will be no selling, providing the sun and the moon still exist.

No Pardon needed. In fact, I believe if you were to start “Fly’s cussing Index” (Similar to your Raw Commodities Index) you will find the market actually goes down when you stop cussing. I remember the period when you self-imposed a no cussing blog and the market was not happy, confused even.

OK Mainland China, Australia, Japan, UK were all closed today. China is getting Oil from Russia and ended their cash for clunkers this week. Reading China Blogs all I read about is how Inflation is killing them and that they can’t afford to spend for their upcoming New Years Eve. The fight is over before it begins. The Fed clearly has no control any longer. They are attempting the impossible now, and it will end with a currency crisis the likes of which the world has never seen.
That much I agree with Ron Paul on. If it was just a simple matter of “poof” the fed is gone, and now we can move on, then yes, I would support him.
If you understand the underlying problem and reality of the situation, we are way too far along to do anything to repair it.
I predict the currency crisis will happen right around the time of the 2012 election, just as the mortgage crisis hit in 08. Will that be a reason to vote for Paul? Not in my opinion.
If I was old enough to vote in 1988, that would have been the time to vote for him.
Politicians always kick the can down the road for the next administration to handle the big issues. Just as Obamacare is not “the fix” we all want for healthcare, Paul’s ideas for the Fed will not be perfect, and complete collapse will be the only solution to the problem.
Well, we will see….Ben B is going in front of the new congress this Friday.
Ron Paul is not gonna be all that. He’s a subcommitte chairman, so he has a soapbox and that’s about it. Ben B. is really good with oddball congress people.

My take of today based on what I read on CNBC (sound is always off) is that EVERYBODY is bullish on everything- from commodities, to China, to Taiwan, to High Yields, to US equities, etc.
Even the guy on now whose firm downgraded NFLX still says he is positive on the stock.
A top is in.
I was looking at 2000, it looked that Jan 3ish was close to its top….for traders around that time, what tipped it?

Forgot to add- I have been bullish since Sept. (about the time I told you not to buy FAZ).
Wouldn’t be surprised at all to see the rest of the week being down and we lose 50- 60 S&P points before a rally.
But then again, I am a daytrader so I really don’t care one way or the other.
Good call on FAZ…QE 2 vs China….QE 2 won that one. Day trading is fun, but I have been on this quest since 2009 to try and understand the bigger picture, which EVERYONE says can’t be done. I am outside of the herd…which is pretty hard…but either I get eaten or learn to run in front of it…time will tell.
I seem to recall that the Fed purchases via QE 2 will be done by June and if there is no QE 3 (which probably won’t happen) and since the market discounts 6-9 months then…..
