5 Tool Player At Work

Anything you faggots can do, “The Fly” can do better. As much as I besmirch day traders / chart chomping ideologues, I can do that shit too, because I’ve done it before. Remember something, I am 34 years old now and have been investing since I was 10. That is not an exaggeration. I’ve tried every single method known to the investing world, some work, some don’t. As a result of my experiences, through trial and error, I developed my own system, which is elegantly produced for you via The PPT.

Inside The PPT, I use a wide variety of tools to pick stocks. At this point, all of my picks come from using the tools inside The PPT. In the past, I heavily relied upon OVERBOUGHT/OVERSOLD algorithms. However, since QE2, that shit doesn’t work too well. Wait, scratch that. Half of that shit works (OVERSOLD), since we go up in perpetuity. Since my VXX mess, I’ve developed new tools that digitize the technical analysis that you fuckers waste time on. With a click of a button, I am able to produce picture perfect setups, specifically stocks hovering above the 20 day moving average, volume breakouts etc.

Case in point: CHNG, EDMC, SCEI, OCZ and JST. All of those stocks were cherry picked, using specific screens and have performed exceptionally well.

The point of this post is not to whore my service as the motherfucker of all fuckers. Instead it is a message to those of you who do not adjust. The best athletes improvise, when they see an opportunity or a vulnerability in their course of action. Learn to adapt and quit being such losers.

On my first trading day of 2011, I was up 0.86%.

I don’t see how. I have never seen such a stubborn son of a bitch. For over 18 months now, he REFUSES to trade with the trend (on any time frame) and is then astonished when he loses. Further, the depth of his analysis consists of looking at decade long fibonacci fan lines and trying to follow every wiggle of a dow chart from 1942. He has flown off the rails.

If you annualize that return, you should get to over 200% this year.

Anything less will be a big disappointment.

And for those who are bored, here are some highlights from the old FNN (CNBC predecessor).
You might recognize an anchor or two.
FNN went on the air in 1981 which would mean Fly was watching (on Grandpa Flys lap) when he was about 5 years old.

    34? – ok, whippersnapper.

“some work and some don’t” -> I would add some work for some of us and some work for others. And, most traders lose money regardless of thier methodology. Trading is as much about figuring out who you are as a trader and what works for your personal makeup, as it is determining what is emperically sound methodology. Of course, like any subject there are religious procilivities towards that which we have found works for us. Even though it may, in fact, not work for another given there personal makeup.

    Live long and prosper.

If you are smart enough to recognize the trend change, you are really a genius. There is no point to bank profit and lose them on the next bear market. That is not sheer genius. That is just Lady Luck.

Right now, the key is to outperform the SP500. In 2008, the market dropped 15%. My portfolio was up 50%. In 2009, the market went up 15% and my portfolio was down 12%. In 2010, the market went up 14% and my portfolio went up 36%. I am shooting for 100 plus% this year.

If you want to be in this business for a long time and make money on a consistent basis, you need to be able to adapt and think quick on your feet.

There were hundreds in Dade County in the 60s and 70s and the Birch Beer and lil burgers topped with onions were the best.

Where we stand according to Objective Elliott Wave:

“At this point we could expect Minor wave 3 will likely hit the OEW 1291 pivot and run into significant resistance at that point. This would then lead to a Minor wave 4 pullback before the uptrend ends with a Minor wave 5 rally later this month. This market remains on track to conclude this now six month uptrend in January around the OEW 1313 pivot. After that we would expect a downtrend and correction down to around the Intermediate wave four level and the OEW 1187 pivot.”

Each wave (Primary, Major, Intermediate, minor, minute) is based on 5 moves – in an up wave three up and two down or Up-Dwn-Up-Dwn-Up and then followed by a correcting wave down.

Waves build from minute to primary with Primary being the completed wave once the smaller waves have completed their moves. We have completed two Primary waves so far (PW1 up and PW2 dwn) and are currently in Primary Wave3 up … Within this primary wave we have completed 4 Intermediate waves and are currently in the fifth and final Intermediate wave which will complete Major Wave1 of five within this Primary Wave3. Within Intermediate Wave 5 we are on minor wave 3 which is expected to reach SPX 1291 and then see minor wave 4 pullback before minor wave 5 completes this move up around SPX 1313.

When this uptrend concludes the market should correct in a Major wave 2. Then Major waves 3 – 4 – 5 should follow to complete Primary wave III in the second half on 2011… which will be followed by Primary Wave4 correction 2011-2012 and end with Primary Wave5 into the election of 2012.

Note: Our current bull market is a bit different in wave structure than the 2002-2007 bull market. That bull market was completing a Primary wave V and it unfolded in five Major waves, with Major wave 5 extended. Our current bull market is Cycle wave [1] and it is unfolding in five Primary waves, with waves I and III the likely extensions. In other words, the longest runs up will be Primary wave1 (first leg up) and the current Primary Wave3 … once this move ends (1313?) we will get a good correction with Major Wave2 but Major Wave3 follows and if this is indeed an extended wave as indicated it s/b the best move up of the leg.

How high is that Wall of worry now?
This is very similar to a year ago. Respect for risk had vanished there is now and was then a sea of complascency. The market managed to hold togeher until just after mid month, then it got pretty ugly in short order and bottomed in early Feb.
