Before going out and buying a basket of inflation plays, ask yourself: “why the fuck is the price of [[SGG]] going lower?” This plagues me, like nothing else. I mean, have people stopped eating chocolate bars or cereal? Is there some sort of glut in the system due to a precipitous drop in sugar ethanol demand? All of these questions, AND MORE, shall be answered at a later date.
For now, I will focus my efforts on not losing what I already made. Case in point: [[TLT]] holds its ground, in the midst of your bullshit inflation rally. What does that say about you?
Answer: it says “you’re an asshole.”
Also, it appears the shareholders of Silicon Storage Technology, Inc. [[SSTI]] are adamant about telling management to “go fuck themselves,” regarding selling the company to Microchip Technology Inc. [[MCHP]] for $3.05. Call me crazy, but I think another bid is waiting in the tall grass waiting to strike the antelope fuckers from Microchip Technology Inc. [[MCHP]] .
Finally, Citigroup Inc. [[C]] is looking pretty sporty. All in all, I am very, very content with my positions and look forward to buying your positions, at much lower prices.
NOTE: As discussed in The PPT yesterday, I bought 20,000 [[MWW]] , low $16’s, unsolicited.

…or was Sugar just manipulated all to shit before and now some reality is kicking in? Beats the fuck outta me…in my world things like AIG are broke :S
it is correlated to the inverse of the glycemic index…short insulin
TIP above 105 another piece of inflation puzzle. Until it breaks I’m sceptical [sic]
Sweet post.
Still short MAR 91 TLT puts
SoFIG,
What you are saying is they will use new centrafuge technology to use on sugar????
Stick to the subject.
I think fed is liquidating sugar in open markets. next it will be oil and gold – all this to show we are in a fking deflation and send rates crashing down so that the joe the barber can buy a mcmansion at low rates (and a bugati to go).
Then why is tlt going higher?
Qed
It is negatively correlated w. $VXX?

Also why is everyone talking about sugar? Why trade sugar when you gave us all BML.H’s 40% ago and LMLP which is up 75% in 2 months…
Thanks V.King
It appears NYC is going to ban sugar along with salt.
Sugar supply release is government regulated in India and during the booming raw prices their government decided to slumdog the mill barons by imposing supply releases quarterly instead of weekly, effectively oversupplying the mills.
MWW has historically performed well during March and April too.

Can you say: Sugar In The Tank?
Hurt like hell to take a few profits here but everywhere I looked, there’s just overextended charts and also ran setups. I must have looked through 30 charts – nothing of interest – we really need a nice pull back for some decent setups to appear again.

USEC Takes Major Step in American Centrifuge Program
Cascade of Production-Ready AC100 Machines Begins Operation
BETHESDA, Md.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– USEC Inc. (NYSE:USU) announced today a major step in the American Centrifuge program with the operation of a cascade of AC100 centrifuge machines in a commercial-plant configuration in Piketon, Ohio. USEC refers to its production centrifuge machine design as the AC100 series centrifuge machine.
“This is an important step forward beyond our earlier prototype machines. These are production machines built by our suppliers for the commercial American Centrifuge Plant,” said USEC President and CEO John K. Welch. “Operating these AC100 machines in commercial-plant configuration shows the progress we continue to make in deploying the American Centrifuge technology.
“We have invested more than $1.7 billion in this project to update the technology, to reestablish critical manufacturing infrastructure and to begin construction of the commercial plant. This phase is one of the last steps necessary to demonstrate that the world’s most advanced centrifuge technology is ready for commercial deployment. It validates our supply chain for manufacturing of centrifuge machines and confirms that the technology is ready to transition for commercial operation.
“Lead Cascade operations are integral to our efforts to address DOE’s requirements for a loan guarantee. Our mission now will be to accumulate significant run-time on the cascade while we continue to manufacture and install a limited number of additional AC100 centrifuge machines as we keep our manufacturing base active and positioned for remobilization of the project.”
The cascade is operating in a commercial plant configuration and at commercial plant assays. USEC expects to operate the machines at commercial plant conditions obtaining data on machine-to-machine interactions, system performance and plant design. The cascade is anticipated to run until a brief, scheduled outage in June required by our operating license issued by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Beginning in August 2007, USEC has operated prototype machines as part of a Lead Cascade test program that has provided valuable data on operational characteristics of the machines, aided in developing improvements to the design of the commercial production machines and given staff operational experience. The Company has operated centrifuges for more than 338,000 machine hours during the Lead Cascade testing program that includes both prototype machines and the AC100 series machines.

reversion to the mean.. Sugar is just coming back…
There is a very large overhang in sugar production in India. They had a bumper harvest and are expecting another, the weather has been perfect…..apparently.
Demand has not risen, but the supply has, significantly.
Thus endith the granny egg sucking.
EDIT: needle posted before me about it….missed that.

an ADORABLE ambulance chaser, damnit!
In fact after looking at the weekly charts of futures contracts on everything commodity. One could say we are in a “commodity bubble”. If the unemployment rate across the globe is raising to worrying levels. Who then is buying this shit. I mean lumber, cotton, Orange Juice are all hitting new highs.
http://finviz.com/futures_charts.ashx?t=SOFTS&p=w1
Just look at the bounce in early 2009…
As the FLY has stated. Sugar’s fall could be a one off event. It bares watching the rest of the commodity world..
Fly,
Everyone knows the best leading indicator is in fact COTTON. Check it out, it bottomed before the market did. It sold off in the beginning of the year before all equities did. And it surpassed the yearly highs before any index did.
Cotton is money.
yeah, but it makes my coffee hard to swallow
Had to cover a number of positions today as my stoploss was hit.

Sugar buyers are seeing a boost in sugar availability in the near future, via favorable conditions in India and Brazil, kinda like the opposite of what happened in June 2007. So buyers are not stocking up on sugar now.
Fuck sugar and Fuck TLT…the thing about “bullshit inflation rallies” is they just keep going up and up and up…with shallow pullbacks, then they…keep going up while certain arrogant asshats have to chase them…LOL!
Coming soon,
Sugar consumption will be punishable by death or worse, like 100% of your portfolio invested into FAZ..
Bond traders are the smartest in the room. Climbing TLT is a sure thing before “correction” known as plunge. Look at january this year (TLT vs SPX) and tell me I’m wrong.
BTW I suggest you look at $BDI today as well. It made lower high – which (in case it continues lower) is a HUGE divergence to SPX
1100 is the first stop IMHO

I’m back, baby.
HuggieBear picked up 3% playing crude from the short side.
Another 8% and I’ll be out of this draw down. Considering the vast amounts of Butane i doused myself in, I can live with that.
LOL. Swinging for the fences at the craps table. Never a dull moment.
Stay away from dry tinder, eh?
___
I’ve found that you can get some decent short action on CL…here is the combo you need:
1) catch crude trying to test overhead resistance
2) catch it on a day where its up 2%-3%
If you just stick to that situation, you can make some coin picking up some money on the short side.
Yeah Huggie, maybe you should work on your position sizing? Seems like a lot to be up from only 1 position in only 1 day. Be safe.
Mostly true….the positions are big, but with very close stops. Today, for whatever reason, i just had every trade go my way.
Anyway, nothing but dumb luck really. Not so much luck, i could just tell crude was overextended. The problem is that type of success makes you want to trade more, and before you know it, you haven’t been picky enough.
Anyway, I’m back to position trading, it was just a one day thing.
I’m completely flat again and will be waiting for a decent sell off to get long.
hey huggie – very impressive.. -care to share any of your position trades?
Wasn’t crude UP nearly 3% today?
Just checking if my avatar works as per GRAVATAR
