Tuesday morning we had the market go from a 12+ day loosing cycle to a massive insane rally all based on one fucking memo from one CEO to employees that caused the market to go apeshit, then 1 hour later, out of the fucking blue again, GM’s CEO comes on and says “O by the way, we don’t need any more money, everything at GM is fine” (although we at GM were on our knees begging for taxpayer money just 4 weeks ago…..miraculously (wink wink) we are just fine)……
I honestly say “bullshit” to this entire weeks rally…..
I of course jumped in and made money, but I don’t believe one minute, with all the begging and pleading for tax money, that out of the fucking blue, only weeks after the begging, that all is just fine and dandy……
sure the banks may be doing better, being able to borrow money at 0.00 interest and lend it at 5.00 but that doesn’t account for all the still happening losses and asset devaluations still occuring.
you see, when rallies like this happen, traders are instantly blinded by giddieness and visions of quick profits and forget in 2 seconds, reality, and reality is, out in the country are still massive layoffs, companies filling bankruptcy, and jobs by the thousands being lost.
UTX just announced 11,600 layoffs, oil companies for fucking christs sake are announcing layoffs this week.
Lets calm down and get back to the real situation at hand. and it is not going to turn on a dime like CNBC, those fucktards are already trying to tout.

Boom, funny you should ask. I finished it, sweetened it, and then the couple decided that they wanted to purchase their own setup and try it again, at home.
Truth be told, they live in a fantastic renovated barn outside of Charlottesville, Va. Acoustics are awesome. Still, the space needs lots of treatment, which they of course did not realize. They tracked it live, stereo mics on the guitars, but didn’t get good mic placement and used unmatched pairs. They got excellent, very special, takes. And I do mean excellent and very special. However, the room is too much in the mix and there will be too much eq work due to poor mic placement.
I know all this as I spent the weekend with them 2 weeks ago trying to give them the “mixing crash course.” I didn’t have the heart to tell my dear friends to re-do it with single mics and excellent mic placement with a treated ceiling and other acoustic treatment.
Instead, I tried to just lead them to the water and let them decide themselves, to drink. I did this by making them burn mixes and listen in the car, office, etc. Everywhere the room was too much for what they wanted, in my opinion. I was hoping they would decide the same, and re-track it, but I did not mention it to them. I got an email from them today which leads me to believe that maybe they are re-tracking.
Whew, that was too long of an answer. The short answer is I can still get you the 6 song EP I completed for them, although their new songs and musicianship are even better now than when I recorded them. Let me know, I would love to get it to you. You have my email.
