Everyone in the business knows CNBC is full of shit. But now it’s getting interesting, as regular folk start to see through their bullshit, which will inevitably result in the networks demise. Write it down.
Tonight Jim Cramer embarrassed himself, with hat in hand, as a guest on the Jon Stewart show. Seriously, dude, why fucking going on the show, if you are going to act like a pussy?
Cramer allowed himself to be humiliated for no good reason. I have never seen anything like it.
Personally, I was emphatic about seeing this interview, due to the assholishness broadcasted on CNBC day and night— who regularly apologize for corporate criminals and first class douchebags. In an odd twist of irony, mixed with woeful inadequacy on behalf of the media, it took a fucking clown on a Comedy channel to bring Cramer into the public view, to deliver a much deserved “he-man bitch slap.”
Finally.
UPDATE: Here is the Stewart vs. Cramer vid.

Hoovervilles sprouting up.
Aw, man, I’ve gotta wait another hour and a half, until 11pm pacific to see this!
Pathetic. He didn’t have a chance.
anyone have a video link?
I haven’t seen the show yet. Will watch tomorrow.
Odd that the press is trotting out Cramer, the former financial hero of the masses, at what could be one of the best times in the last 15 years for a retail investor to go long.
The irony.
The Jon Stewart bottom?
He was torn apart.
I just hope (not likely) that Jim get’s his head out of his ass, steps up, cuts the happy time TV bit and just speaks truthfully.
i’m going to have to watch this on the daily show site.
I smell Dan Dorfman …. Odd, no?
I smell varmint poontang.
I smell dead people.
No, wait.
It’s just my career.
“…and the only good varmint poontang is dead varmint poontang, I think.”

There will be no justice until cramer loses every dollar he has.
“By the end, the two-segment interview went far beyond its allotted time. Comedy Central said the on-air version would be cut by about eight minutes, though the entire interview would be available unedited on ComedyCentral.com on Friday.”
AMZN has been looking really nice last 2 days.. might wanna keep a good eye on it…
plus here’s a small excerpt from some Citigroup E-Commerce conference call with Channel Adviser (CA)($3B leading E-commerce company) released today. At a glance it reads positive for AMZN.
“CA Sees Weakening Retail Trends, With AMZN An Exception — Across the CA platform, GMV increased 4% Y/Y in Feb, vs. 3-4% in Jan, a slight improvement, esp. given tough Feb comp, but a deterioration vs. 10% Q4 growth. eBay SSS in Feb were down 10% Y/Y, a slight improvement vs. 12% decline in Jan, but a deterioration vs. single digit Q4 decline. AMZN SSS were up 47% (!) in Feb, up slightly from roughly 40% Y/Y growth in January and Q4.”

what’s with all the red letter on drudge? how will market respond to Commander in Chief’s confidence-building words?
Cramers ratings improve by 25% for the next month.
True enough ddd ratings probably will go up!
The victim always wins, facts mean nothing.
Cramer got ass-farked and loved it. Long time since someone aired the Jim Cramer street.com mea culpa. CNBC is a channel for the whores, by the whores, of the whores. Great to see Cramer get farked. Power to the people!
Poor quality version of Cramer on The Daily Show:

I got an excellent quality version in thread.
You got ripped off.
Here’s real excellence, and it isn’t missing a big chunk:

Of course, you’ll have to wait if you want to see tonight’s episode instead of last night’s.
straight ambush!

Yeah, it was kinda like that.
Ott
Dipshit, the link I have in post is to tonight’s melee.
Maybe I should have said something in my comment about it not being tonight’s episode? Something like “Of course, you’ll have to wait if you want to see tonight’s episode instead of last night’s”.
You linked to a partial episode. A gentleman’s C for you.
Not a Cramer apologist, but I think the clips shown by Stewart were taken out of context and therefore slightly misleading. I believe Cramer was explaining to Aaron Task how hedgies would manipulate stocks, and what he would have done IF he was still a hedge fund manager. In effect, he was trying to expose manipulation, not promote it.
no, jon stewart was being fairly accurate.
here’s the original video of cramer talking about how he manipulated the futures markets to fuck with the opening price.
Opihiman,
Then why did Cramer say in the clip “I’m not going to say it on TV”. He said it to his paying RealMoney customers.
Full interview is up online now:
http://www.thedailyshow.com/
At least the parts of the interview that didn’t make it to air… Supposedly it was like a 45 min interview.
Doucheborough!
That was a full-on ass whoopin’. Stewart went right at him and challenged him as to whose side cramer’s on. The regular media never challenges people like that – all they do is kiss ass. That was so gratifying.
recusancy-
The average person, and (my guess) the average Jon Stewart viewer, knows little to nothing about trading or investing. When he/she hears those segments, it will sound like Cramer is giving people advice on how to “cheat.” In reality, and in full context, he’s actually trying to tell his subscribers what really goes on in the market — kinda like a former con artist explaining how he used to swindle people.
He approaches the subject with the cynical, matter-of-factness of someone who’s been there, done that, and is trying to wake up (shock) potentially naive people who he feels are unaware (read: “ignorant”) of the cold, hard realities of the hedge fund game.
Why only tell it to his RM subscribers? Presumably, they’re at a slightly higher level of knowledge wrt/trading and investing than the average Mad Money viewer, and therefore more capable of understanding what he’s talking about. Let’s face it – the average person doesn’t even know what “shorting” is, or what hedge funds do.
I’m not a Cramer fan, but I do respect that he does have a lot of experience and knowledge, and from what I’ve seen, a successful track record as a former pro. In that sense, I just try to take what is useful and ignore the bluster, hype, etc.
Yeah, Cramer had his tail between his legs … absolutely pathetic.
Stewart took it to him Mike Wallace style, at his best.
My short term roadmap, as posted in the PPT.
Best guess for a timely shortable high, would come Monday morning after a great week hits the newspapers & airwaves, sending late-to-the-party-money into OPM managers performance anxiety laden itchy, undisciplined trigger fingers. Then a nastola turnaround Tuesday with some follow through downside Wednesday morning. Then back to the upside with a vengeance.
That’s my outlook/game plan and I’m sticking to it…. until it changes.
Cramer was such a pussy it was pathetic… Cramer was like a puppy being scalded lying on it’s back in surrender, it hurt watching…
Jon Stewart soon to air the fireside chats of the 21st century pending deep depression. lol
It was all part of the master plan to get the markets back on track. THEYsend J.C. on Stewart to atone for our sins. Now we can all get back to sinning!
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant.
Clown slapping is the new crucifiction by the way.
Stewart’s a real piece of shit. I really don’t know how the fuck CNBC allowed Cramer to go on there. The audience always blows Stewart and there was no way he was ever going to get a fair hearing although he doesn’t deserve one.
Cramer was basically representing the trading business (us) in a way and he truly fucked it up. Stewart deserves a thorough bitchslapping and perhaps the fly should be drafted to go on the show and demonstrate the more humane, geeky intelligent view of the trading business. Perhaps Fly should take the devil dog with him too as that would show what upstanding decent people we all are.
bravo js.
Can’t say that Cramer didn’t necessarily get pay back but I also believe that Stewart being the good liberal didn’t spend enough time reaming the politicians like Obama for being a top recipient of FNM lobbying $$, hiring some of the execs at FNM for his administration and not seeking their prosecution (read Raines), Barney Frank,Cox et al for blocking reforms several years ago and Bush and company for not fighting hard enough and rolling over like they did much of the time.
Screw them all.
PS Read about Stewart’s Wall Street brother, head of Global Trading @NYSE. The WSJ seems to think Stewart had help from Bro (nothing wrong with that IMO).
http://blogs.wsj.com/deals/2009/03/12/jon-stewarts-wall-street-corner-man-for-tonights-cramer-battle/
Fuck all of you CNBC watching “who cares?” homos. While you were off reviewing a show with no one left to bash now that Bush is out of office, I was taking in perhaps the greatest college basketball game ever played.
Boy am I glad UConn is out of the tourney and Syracuse is deathly tired.
Da Beast!
___________
Jon Stewart is more of a media critic than a comedian. Everyone, left and right, should at least be able to see that and understand that it’s an important and necessary role.
The interview was a little over-anticipated but still very good.
-DT
Yeah J. Put Fly on Stewart’s show.
He can remain anonymous by staying in the dark and they could garble his voice like a mobster testifying.
He should however pass out the iBankCoin dictionary to the audience so they know what he is talking about.
Greatest B’East game ever??
_______
Next great American to be interviewed OBAMA!
Jon Stewart is more of a media critic than a comedian. Everyone, left and right, should at least be able to see that and understand that it’s an important and necessary role.
Predictable.
Jon Stewart is toast. Cancelled 48 hours after Cramer.
“Write it down.”
And it goes w.out saying:
Long live the Emperor Palpati– er…. Obama!

best was: “i think he does what twittering does, in a way”
cramer is to stocks what stewart is to politics.
juice- stewarts reminds me of ol man wallace too. the time wallace got on his knees to blow achmenijad calls to mind any number of stewart interviews with dem blowhards.
Bruce —
I think your take makes the most sense, and I agree w. it.
Caveat: Which makes two reasons for why it likely will not happen.
__________
THEY send J.C. on Stewart to atone for our sins.
Oh, bravo.
“Nice one, Centurion.”
________
Yea TC
Put the Fly and Devilsdog on the show to present the more feminine/feelings side of the trading community.
I’m gonna get ripped here, but I kinda feel bad for Cramer. I mean no one back in 2007 thought it was gonna be this bad(Lehman, Bear Stearns, GE, etc..) AND you can’t go on air and tell millions of people to sell their portfolio’s and/or short a stock even if you knew by mid 2008 things were gonna get worse.
Jon Stewart is a Douchebag!!
apparently the “interview” ran long so you can catch the unedited version on Comedy Central website…

HUZZAH!
How do you think the viewers would react if they saw a guy in sandels and robe talk about the market, circus cannons, punching mustaches off, kicking old men down a set of stairs, monster cans, etc…
Fly and the dog of stewart’s show.
Stewart; Fly what do you mean by “ fuck you shorts, you’re dead”.
Fly; Jon, what I am trying to convey to the readership is that I care deeply about their positions and don’t ever want them to lose money on account of doing the wrong thing, so I try to help them through their difficult moments and provide group therapy sessions when they feel pain.
Stewart: Devil Dog, errr can I call you devil or dog for short?
DG: Either is fine Jon, my real name is Stanley
Stewart: Umm ok let me call you Dog then. You often go to the website wishing ruin on people you dislike there, which is about everybody. Is that how you ought to be treating people?
DG: Well Jon, I was in Vietnam and killed a lot of people with a knife and bare hands. What I’m am doing now is trying to help my friends on the website get a clear view of the market with my deep insights, such as telling everyone that the market is about to crash at 2.38 on Wednesday July 15 2011 and they need to prepare well in advance. I always help the Fly manage the group therapy sessions after the market closes for the losers.
Good Lord that was like watching a baby seal get clubbed and skinned. Cramer should have:
1) excused himself halfway through the interview
2) went out to his car
3) opened the trunk of his car
4) retrieved his spine, and went back into the building.
Jon Stewart is deadly accurate with his wrist rocket.
Good stuff J.
I watched the show down last night. John Stewart brought his A game, Cramer brought his D game. “Roll 212!”
Could Jon move on to others? Barney Frank, Nanci Pelosi, Maxine Waters, et al? Stop hoarding ammunition people! There is enough to go around if you stop hoarding it.
LMFAO
Good stuff J!!
I like the Vietnam talk from DD.
Cheers!
Short MDP with impunity
Just talked with a large ($3.5 bn fund) private equity principal I know about a deal we’re shopping… and here’s a verbatim clip:
Mr. PE: “Well, we’re conserving cash right now… We don’t think things have gotten cheap enough yet, and we believe they’ll get a lot cheaper…”
Me: “Okay, well, give me a signal when you guys are getting back in the market, so I’ll have you down…”
Mr. PE: “Okay, but it may not be until this administration is over…”
Me: (Burst of laughter)
Mr. PE: “No, I’m serious…”

One of the good signs we are in a new Bull Market is Jim Cramer leaving CNBC. The average person trading the market today is smart enough to know he is a little guy with a Napoleon complex trying to make up for not being a stud in High School. It makes me sick when he takes calls from little old ladies and tells them they can make money in the Market. Being a trader I don’t give any tips to people who don’t trade because they don’t know what to do to make money. The world is full of lazy smart people that use people like Cramer and go broke. CNBC is no different than the pumpers from the Jesse Livermore days. In those days it was the Wall Street Journal.
cramer was more honest about “sell everything if you need the money in 5 years” than anyone else and was critisized like crazy for that. Cramer is not nearly as pitiful as others… he’s just more “respected” (even though he doesn’t deserve it) by the average joe know nothing, making him an easy target
