There is no way on God’s green earth commercial RE companies will keep their share prices intact. Quite honestly, as opposed to outright lying, it makes me sick to see Vornado Realty Trust [[VNO]] , SL Green Realty Corp. [[SLG]] , Simon Property Group, Inc [[SPG]] and Boston Properties, Inc. [[BXP]] so rich in value.
Their market caps deserve to be sliced in half, as their tenants file for bankruptcy and their lines of credit dry up.
As always, getting long [[SRS]] , sub $85, is a great idea.
Oil is entirely done. I really have no interest in trying to bottom fish commodities anymore. In retrospect, I was wrong. Time to move on.
The banks are doing great, based upon news of nothing. And, tech is getting punched in the scrotum by Zeus.

Top short on your list is SLG. they are clueless right now. Commercial Real Estate hasn’t even gotten out of the bottom of the first inning. The cap rates haven’t moved up enough, the vacancy hasn’t moved up enough, and the rental rates haven’t moved down enough. all of this is coming. the idiots at SLG still think they will be immune to this. We have a long way to go…

the reason why SRS isn’t/hasn’t been performing as well as it seems like it should is because people who need yield buy the reits.
So in the sense that it was easy to bet against the fins when they were getting creamed, the comres have that prevailing positive that the fins never had – a yield that isn’t immediately in jeopardy.
That’s the FYI I got when I asked how it was possible that SRS wasn’t higher from my source.
