FACT: The US economy cannot grow without constant stimulus. The same applies for the rest of the developed World. That’s what happens when governments repeatedly intervene to short-circuit business down cycles/recessions which are actually healthy over the long-term. They weed out unproductive businesses and force capital allocation to productive ones, reset prices to a lower level increasing affordability, and set us up for the next expansion. But no, our soft population can’t bare the thought of layoffs and wage declines–so they demand that our politicians “do something.” This is the result.
