Stocks Harangued By Orange Orangutan

It isn’t a question of whether Trump did anything wrong, per se. This is more of an issue of management, the ability to control the narrative and disallow your enemies from successfully carrying out a campaign against you. If we are to judge Trump solely upon that and nothing else, his Presidency has been an immense failure. The pettiness and the childish insecurities paved the way for what you’re seeing now.

These moves happened deliberately and with purpose. We all saw this coming and action was never taken to stop it. So with that being said, should Trump get impeached, he has only himself to blame. Do I care if Trump gets impeached?

Not even for a second.

I really do have little regard for the politics of America and seriously loathe the government. I love living here and I enjoy the people, mostly a generous and gregarious cadre of shape-shifters; but everyone in DC can go to hell.

I look at the endowments of some of our best Universities, all in the tens of billions, and then the portfolio values of our most successful citizens, and then the deficits and the debt on America’s balance sheet and cannot help but to wonder if this was done maliciously on purpose or by retarded men and women who just mucked it up.

Stocks reversed today because of the China trade war, plus Trump impeachment concerns. At least that’s what they tell us.

Honestly, I think if Trump were to be impeached, stocks would rally.

The news flow is going to be divisive, but the fundamentals of America, save the government, have never been better. That’s what I’m long and will not change my bias, unless something forces me into a state of fear.

Re: Trump vs. stock market reaction

The stock market doesn’t care if Trump is President. Pence would likely be better for the 1% thatn Trump: no tariffs, more supportive of cheap imported labor, more stable, and less offensive.

However, the market also realizes that just as Trump has taken over the Republican party (favorite kissing the hand moment: Orin Hatch: “We’re going to keep fighting and we’re going to make this the greatest presidency that we’ve seen not only in a generation, but maybe ***ever.*** “, not Washington, not Lincoln, but Trump?), all his sleaze gets transferred down ballot. Losing the House and/or the Senate is a much bigger fear for Wall Street, as it means less foxes guarding hen houses, and less tax breaks for the rich, like the the inflation tax break that Kudlow and Trump favor, even looking at bypassing Congress to get it done).

For the US Govt, sadly everyone has their Retirement Money invested in this huge huge stupid Bubble. Bubble pops and all the Boomers that were planning to retire just can’t anymore. SSI money is saved because early retirement dreams are gone and they work until they die to pay mortgages and college loans they took to pay for their children to go to college. Hope this was not one huge Master Plan? Very good post Fly, enjoyed reading it.For this Market, China in 2009 was the real force in creating this Mess of a Bubble, Bubbles always pop…this one is historical.

    Don’t blame DC.
    Blame the Republican Party.
The people that run that party are destroying America for their own personal gain.
They are the ones that have convinced the voters that ridiculously low taxes lead to prosperity and no deficits. Whatever happened to real conservatism, that believed that people should pay their own way and avoid getting into debt?
There is more real conservatism on the left these days than on the neo-right.

There really is only one party and it’s not for the people. The two party illusions are to control the people.

Trump’s declaration that “markets would crash” if he is impeached, gives serious credence to the idea they would rally. At least he could claim credit for the stock market no matter which way it goes.
