Bloomberg is reporting CSCO is close to buying out the cloudfags at BSFT. The details of the detail are incredibly cryptic, likely the result of some leak by some investment banker, trying to expedite the deal. These leaks are often correct and I suspect it will get done. My main question is, what will the premium be?
The stock is up 31% for the year, with a market cap of $1.7 billion. With a price/sales of 4.7x, anything more than a 25% premium to Friday’s close should light a fire under communication and software stocks, like CTXS.
