Markets Limp into the Close, Setting Up For a Wacky Wednesday of Wanton Losses

It’s over rampFags. Did you see how the market distributed towards the end of the day? This means, without question, that stocks are going to vomit out of the gates tomorrow. By the end of tomorrow’s session, you’ll be all but ruined.

Watch.

Fifty six percent of stocks traded higher today and it was a good day, all around, aside from the last 30 minutes of trade. I am going to bitterly cling onto that small morsel of weakness, the proverbial chink in the armor, and suggest that all is now lost for western markets. We’ve had our fun. Now it’s time to die.

This market will not sell off unless we encounter a major catalyst. It will come out of nowhere, no way to foresee it.

With the inherent decay in the ultra-ETFs, I think it’s better to get bear exposure through shorting an ultra-long ETF (as opposed to going long an ultra-short) if you are holding for a long term as opposed to short-term trading. Of course, you have to watch your margin…

Short term protection for portfolio, tho the risk/reward in qqqs is palpable. Have been trading TQQQ and XIV in market moves, higher prices more movement, good volume

There are no shares available to short or everyone with an IQ greater than 10 would be shorting them. The creators of these ETFs have already shorted every single last share.

          Good point, bob.

On a related note, one signal that I use as a Bull Top is when new ETFs/ETNs come out. These ETFs are just another way for the Smart money to offload trash onto retail investors that are late to the game.

Takes a good 18 years in the biz to know that that down tick is the end of a 7 year bull market. Experience knows best.

What worries me is the record call option activity on the vix. We can’t possibly have a major correction until the masses are washed out, no?

OT: I wonder if alt energy companies/ solar are trying to get into the Puerto Rico mix? Ha, nah probably not…there is ayahuasca to do in some jungle rather than help build a new U.S. state energy grid.
