I think it’s fair to say that any documents released by the FBI belonging to Hillary Clinton are of immense public interest. Well, Ty Clevenger, a NYC attorney, made a FOIA request in March of 2016, requesting to see documents from the FBI and DOJ and was denied. The FBI replied to Ty, saying (we) “determined you have not sufficiently demonstrated that the public’s interest in disclosure outweighs personal privacy interests of the subject.”

FBI is right. Since there’s only about 60.5MM Trump voters who are interested, there’s 61.3MM Crooked Hillary’s voters who are definitely not interested; therefore, there’s not enough public interest.

The FBI analyst assigned to respond probably was doing his best but went to his supervisor and showed how ridiculous it would look to send 98% redacted documents after blacking out all the content that might incriminate Hillary (for “national security” reasons of course).
The supervisor likely agreed and said well nobody will be interested in seeing a bunch of completely blacked out documents. We’ll go with that as the rationale to withhold.
