Thanks to free cash flow, Apple’s cash hoard grew from $256 billion reported last quarter to a new record of $261 billion. With a market cap of ~$800 billion, their cash now represents roughly 30% of it’s overall value.

What a ridiculous load of cash. I don’t think AAPL holders have much to complain about, but that amount of slush tends to make executives sloppy.

There’s nothing wrong with your optimism, but to think that your AAPL odd lot is a fortune is completely unrealistic.
AAPL’s cash is hugely misleading. Their debt has risen from $25B to $75B over the last 3 years while they have been growing their cash hoard. Apple can’t repatriate a huge chunk of their cash so they issue debt to offset the cash growth. However, it’s still a lot of cash…..
