This might not save Sears, but it’s a symbolic surrender to the deflationary vortex that is Amazon.
In what appears to be a major sign of surrender to the reigning champion of e-commerce, ailing Sears, the one-time king of retail, just agreed to sell Kenmore appliances on Amazon.com. More than that, they also agreed to let Alexa control Kenmore devices, furthering Amazon’s control over home domination.
“I’m shocked. I’m shocked,” said Cooper Smith, director of research at L2, a digital brand consultancy. “Sears is largely conceding defeat to Amazon by distributing their appliances” on the site.
This move by Sears is having an raping effect on the shares of HD, LOW and WHR — sending their share prices down between 4-5% — wiping out upwards of $10 billion in market cap.
Pray tell me, who’s super excited to learn that you can now purchase sub-standard, low quality shit, Kenmore machines via Amazon?
Shares of SHLD roared by 10% on this news, now up 2% for the year.

Where do you think the S&p should be, Showtime? You fling a lot of shit without any resolution. Give a where and when, otherwise you’re just a shit flinging douche.
Please stalk someone else. I’m following narratives bigger than you are obviously capable of.
Yeah imaginary
does Amazon have any kind of specific strategy? Or is it really just sell everything?
Amazon’s strategy is world domination. They’re pretty damn good at it too. They have demolished every industry they have gone after so far.
And who is going to install said appliances? Not going to work.
HD and LOW currently outsource their installations. Plus AMZN already has arrangements for local installers ad product assembly assistance.
Very ironic since Sears revolutionized consumer product distribution with their Sears order catalog around or before 1910. Now Sears is run out of business by an online retailer with a similar distribution strategy.
That irony has not escaped me either. Sears needs to revisit their early corporate minutes and brush up on some history.
Every AMZN headline leaves me fully erect.
There have been more cases of priapism in hospital ER’s since AMZN bought Whole Foods for sure
LOL! I had to look up the definition of “priapism”!
what ever happened to the trump and bezos fight? i though trump was going to break up amazon as a monopoly???
From his hospital, McCain tweeted …decrying the Syrian ceasefire that is saving lives as “playing into Putin’s hands.”

Jesus, the barrage of ads on this site is approaching comical levels. Feels like the early 2000s.
