This caught me by surprise, especially since I was planning on seeing Linkin Park perform soon.
Chester Bennington (41), father of 6, committed suicide today — on the birthday of his late friend and lead singer of Soundgarden. Chris Cornell. What’s even more unbelievable about his suicide is the fact that he hung himself, the same manner by which Cornell took his life.
Bennington performed at Cornell’s funeral on May 26th, 2017, singing ‘Hallelujah.’
He was molested as a child, from 7-13, by an older friend and had suffered through alcohol and drug addiction for much of his adult life.
Rest in peace.
Here’s a recent performance on the Kimmel show.
Here’s are two of his classics.
For youngsters out there, Linkin Park was a dominant band in the early 2000’s.

Damn shame to hear this news.
What, you don’t like Gucci Mane?
Kenrick and Vince Staples are for real
Bummer. Suicide has never made sense. Catch 22 to the bone in a way.
suicide always have made sense…think all the Hemingways that took that route..given individual circumstances.
Too many talented musicians go this way
that’s heartbreaking… and father of 6.. Ugh!! so so sad
In the end it doesn’t even matter.
Weak ass man to leave behind 6 children. Really, really weak.
^^^^^^edgelord reporting in
Easy to judge but you don’t know the demons he may have been dealing with. People do crazy things in a moment of weakness.
Sad day. Will listen to LP for the rest of the day while I pound away at spreadsheets…
Chester Bennington has publicly come out in support of former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, who is vying to become the next President of the United States.
The LINKIN PARK singer tweeted earlier today: “DRUMPF is a greater threat to the USA than terrorists. Vote today and keep America Great!! HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT”
STFU!!! Your view is just wrong!
6 kids left fatherless is the sad story here. Be a man, and stay off the smack. For fucksake, life isnt that bad.

Mark Levin played Somewhere I Belong on his show today in tribute. That’s been his intro song on his program since the beginning.
Back in the day, the drugs would kill them cuz they were having too much fun. Today!? WTF!!!???
Apparently he had some juice on Hillary.
