We Interrupt this Market Rally for WW3 Happenings: U.S. Aircraft Bomb Assad Convoy

All of this political upheaval has resulted in Trump’s base rushing to his aid, not because they like him again, but because they’re playing team politics and hate the other side. I know many of you, even on the left, know exactly what I’m talking about. But let’s not forget, it was Trump who abandoned his base with the bombing of a Syrian airport, proposed surge in Afghanistan, and saber rattling against N. Korea. Voters requested, or demanded, ‘America first.’ The definition of that policy has become a blur since the election — as the American military-industrial complex pursues peace through offensive measures. If space aliens just visited this planet for the first time, why, they might conclude we were, in fact, the villains.

According to reports, Syrian government forces violated the ‘deconfliction zone’ in al-Tanf — a place where American forces have taken up clay inside Syria to train terrorists, err rebels, in order to overthrow the Assad regime. They violated this zone inside their own country twice over the past few days. In one menacing incident, ‘regime vehicles’ drove within 18 miles of al-Tanf, accompanied by an unarmed soviet made SU-22 fighter — and was quickly intercepted by two F-22s.

As such, we smoked them out.

BuzZzzzZfeed reports from the scene.

Unlike the US strike against the al-Shayrat air base in March, which the Trump administration ordered in retaliation for a regime chemical weapons attack, Thursday’s strike seemed designed to protect the US forces based at Tanf.

One of the defense officials — who, like the others, spoke on condition of anonymity to reveal details that the Pentagon had yet to make public — said that the US acted to stop an advance of pro-regime forces toward Tanf. Pro-regime forces had crossed a pre-agreed deconfliction zone and continued to advance despite warning strikes, he added. The strikes destroyed several vehicles. It was unclear if they resulted in any deaths.

The 5th Special Forces Group has been training and mentoring pro-Western rebel groups in and around Tanf for about six months as part of the anti-ISIS campaign developed under then-President Barack Obama and continued by the Trump administration.

While contact with ISIS units is to be expected considering the mission, this is the first instance of American air power being used against pro-Assad forces to support American troops and their rebel allies.

With a mission that focuses completely on ISIS, US troops have rarely had to worry about operating in close proximity to Syrian forces and their aligned militias. The last encounter between the groups occurred last month when Syrian troops passed near a special operations group in the Kurdish areas, but that remained peaceful. As the territory dominated by ISIS collapses in the face of advances by Kurdish forces in Syria and Iraq forces in Mosul, though, the world’s most crowded battlespace further shrinks.

The state of Israel is integral part of US congress, through AIPAC. I guess WW3 has started a while ago then.

If true, Trump is even more an idiot than I thought. If the past week should have taught him anything it is that doing the neocons’ bidding will not win him any lasting respite.

He should learn how the world works, then go on TV and explain it to the citizens …before they remove him by any means necessary. …oh, and fire the general who used “18 mile safe zone” as an excuse.

It’s important to know, these actions are DOD and probably did not require the approval of Trump.

I’m pretty sure we’ve been doing these kinds of air strikes for like two years now guys. Still though, this is great because I was starting to have some serious bombing withdrawals

The Russian propagandists associated with the Trumpian Right Wing like to pretend that Assad is not a butcher. But he is. And if Syrian rebels take him out, they will be doing a favor to most of their countrymen.

Trumpists can’t be satisfied with just saying that it’s not the U.S.’s responsibility to take out every butcher, since it didn’t turn out well with Saddam. That’s not pro-Russian enough to say that. Trumpists have to say that Assad is an okay guy or something, since he’s Putin’s buddy, and Putin is Trump’s best friend.

But now DOD or Trump or someone is actually protecting our troops that are in Syria. Somehow this is terrible in the eyes of former Trumpists. Makes no sense but Right Wingers don’t make sense. They believe what they are told by Hannity, Limbaugh, Drudge, Breitbart, Alex Jones –and what they are told by other propaganda broadcasters that recirculate the same “news” that those propagandists circulate.

Are you not able to read, Chuck? Of course I am not a Trump fan. If I were, I would have to believe that Assad and Putin are nice guys, and I would have to believe Trump’s constant lies, and I do not.

I don’t disagree with Trump on everything. I am certainly fine with protecting our troops. I also breathe oxygen. I think those are the only things I have in common with Trump.

“they will be doing a favor to most of their countrymen”

Wrong. Wrong and arrogant to assume you know what they want based on your MSM programming. All the minorities in Syria support Assad near 100%. And a majority of the Sunni majority support him as well. Who do you think makes up the army that is loyal to Assad and fighting McCain’s radicals/ISIS???? ….Sunnis!

Be careful applying your safe space comforts onto people on the other side of the world.

Thanks, John Galt, for demonstrating that you can not come up with any counter-arguments to may positions, since this confirms that I am correct. All you people here can do is ridicule people who tell the truth. You have nothing to say to defend your own positions. You just believe whatever Trump tells you, as if you have no minds of your own.

An image is worth the 1000’s of words about what hopefully Trump will do to your kind of deep state creatures. The nastiest of all.

          Frog,

You should sign up and go fight for ISIS and El Qaeda. Because that is what your advocating my bird brained friend.

You don’t want to remove a secular leader in a place where they murder , rape and enslave people who don’t follow their religion. This is really not so difficult to understand.

Question, how maybe Christians or Muslim minorities have been murdered, enslaved sexually in this part of the world? How many places in the Middle East did we see, as a common normal practice the rape of women and children in the name of god?

          Answers please.
