A little more than a month ago, Exodus flagged the gold sector oversold. As you can see by the industry oscillator here, it marked the low point in the sector, to the day, on March 7th.
The subsequent result was sharply higher equity prices, to the tune of +15%.
While it’s entirely possible for the sector to pull back, our algorithms suggest there’s more room to the upside before it cools down.
$NUGT, $USLV and $UGLD are preferred plays in the space.

There’s folks that have gold, silver, platinum stashed. People of European descent the ones I know. But a bullion bank like Scotia Mocatta will only buy back at market from the registered original buyer (a couple exceptions exist). So the liquidity of the stuff is reduced a lot. It becomes a kind of black market item after that with the bottom feeders being the scrap jewellry buyers. None the less my dealer has folks bringing gold coins in for cash that have been brought over and are being used as retirement funding. I don’t know what sort of discount he applies to those folks. I have my physical gold with Sprott plus some shares in Sprott and some mining shares to round it out.

There will be no markets/banks left when mattress gold sees sunlight. The way things are going, the last thing one wants to be a bag holder of useless confetti, i.e. Zimbabwe, Venezuela today, etc.
