As such, the freedom caucus was deployed by a 9d chess playing Trump to disjoint and then dismantled support for Ryan’s bill. The subsequent result has been a cancellation of the vote — because Ryan was set up and was barreling towards an embarrassing defeat.
Stocks responded mixed. Beaten down healthcare stocks rebounded — since more Obamacare means more patients for your local hospital.
$CNC, $HCA, $EVHC and $UHS are standouts. It might be worth looking at some beaten down drug stock — which were taken down under the guise of a strident opposition against their pricing prowess.
On my watchlist include $TEVA, $ALXN, $REGN, $GILD, $BIIB and $PRGO. Hell, maybe even $VRX catches a wave.
In all, the first act of ‘repeal and replace’ Obamacare has failed. Hopefully, we can circle back to this nonsense after the important stuff is accomplished — leaving in place a failing program that is withering away at the fabric of the democratic party with every passing day.

Trump permanently controls the narrative. When will the haters realize this? This “Loss” is a “win” for Americans. Even when Trump loses he wins. Paul Ryan will now be drawn and quartered.

Trump’s election promise was clear: repeal Obamacare; not replace it with an upgrade, Obamacare 2.0
If Trump had come out with clean repeal, would Ryan have gone for it? They would have gone toe to toe and Ryan would have come out the victor and Trump with a loss. This is now Ryan’s loss.
If Trump hadn’t feigned support, Ryan wouldn’t have taken the bait and pursued.
These are intellectual rationalizations and strategics (granted, they are very valid); however, that is not how the electorate sees it. The average voter will not take the time to think this through; s/he is looking at high and increasing premiums, etc. The electorate wanted and was looking for immediate solutions. That’s what they voted for. And Trump’s approval rating, low as it is, will go even lower now.
People are impatient and Trump is working against career politicians in both parties that like the status quo. Low approval rating now doesn’t put him out of office. Patience is important in carrying out objectives. Waiting for the opportune time to press an advantage. He had no advantage on Ryan and the other status quo types.
The divisions and tone deafness that plagued the Republicans will come back again and again. Tax reform won’t be easier. It will be harder.
And who pushes to force a vote on legislation that has 17% approval rating? Nixon polled better when he was being thrown out of office as a criminal. The vote had to be postponed because rank and file Republicans were not going to fall on their swords for a bill that was doomed. They would have deserted in droves and the bill would have gone down big time.
As for the vaunted dealmaker Trump, he came across as impotent and confused.

Ryan is as almost as bad of a TRAITOR as the Mulatto Muslim Liar. Close, but he his is still there to maybe add to his resume. Although the Kenyan will be hard to beat for a LONG………………………time.
