Senator Sessions to be Next Attorney General of the United States; Will Hillary Clinton Be Going to Jail?

She’s lucky Rudy Giuliani wasn’t picked. Sessions is part of the good old boys club in the Senate and has made tempered remarks regarding the email scandal. Frankly, I see this going either way — wit’s regards to Hillary being tried and convicted for the great many crimes she’s committed against the American people.

Bear in mind, now is not a time for healing. There’s a swamp in Washington and it’s imperative that we drain it.

Here are some of Senator Sessions recent comments, regarding Clinton and the emails.

“I really don’t see how Congress can issue a subpoena for records and they then destroy those records,” he said.

“I am telling you that every business knows that if they get a subpoena for business records, and they destroy those records, they are subject to criminal prosecution and will be prosecuted,” Sessions said. “That’s a high prosecution case.”

Senator Sessions says he’s troubled, as a former prosecutor, noting, “If you’re innocent and you don’t have anything to hide, why don’t you come forward and cooperate and help bring this to a prompt conclusion? So it does appear the criminal investigation remains ongoing and the security review has been highly critical of her performance.

Indeed.

I’m not commenting on the Clinton case with this comment. But in general I think the Sessions comment is used by law enforcement when they would like someone to forgo their legal rights:

“If you’re innocent and you don’t have anything to hide, why don’t you come forward and cooperate and help bring this to a prompt conclusion?”

    It’s a slippery slope.

Same argument was used against Bush re: Patriot Act… and then promptly dropped when Obama signed and expanded the same act twice.

In this specific case it is most certainly NOT a slippery slope.

And the NSA already snoops on everything everyone does so the idea that someone can even hide these days is crazy.

Trump is not Obama. If any of that kiddie stuff is real, then things could get ugly for HRC. In terms of using the private server to hide the Clinton Foundation dealings, that may not go anywhere. It appears that they’ve offered Jesse Jackson a large sum to try to influence Obama to issue her a pardon.

What are the fuckin’ “crimes” Hillary has “commited against the American people”? And don’t talk about fuckin’ TRIVIAL E-Mails.

She had every right to set up a PERSONAL E-Mail server.

They aren’t going to prosecute her. It’ll make them look like they took the high road. They’re smart.

if they don’t prosecute, then Trump looks like a liar off the top. & he’s surely not draining any swamps; rather, raising miasma table levels.. sad

If they forgo the email crimes but skip right to the larger Clinton Foundation that should suffice

As long as she and her philandering pedophile husband are incarcerated and out of circulation that’s really all that matters. Emails…foundation…spirit cooking, all make no difference

Public humiliation is if the essence though. An example should be made going forward that there are not 2 sets of laws in this country.
If that happens I predict the swamp will become self cleaning.

“There’s a swamp in Washington and it’s imperative that we drain it” …that sounds all nice and exciting, except Trump’s cabinet is shaping up to be an agglutination of establishment GOP, lobbyists, and obstreperous alt-right hatemongers.

    …And the ultimate con continues.

Anyone else think Trump is going to end up pardoning her less than 1yr before reelection?

I could see her being prosecuted and convicted after a year or 2 of building a case against her, allowing the republicans to have their win and everyone that voted Trump feels justified. All that voted Hillary feel their hopes destroyed…

Then to win favor from both sides, Trump pardons Manning, Petraeus and others along with Hillary, ideally with a major cyber security overhaul and some sort of new law that redefines how to handle information in the digital age… after disgracing Hillary’s actions very publicly and letting her spend time in jail to make it clear that she won’t go completely unpunished.

Depends on the charges, however…. I’m assuming perjury for destroying and removing documents, mishandeling of classified materials, etc. I’m assuming obstruction of justice doesn’t stick because she has plausible deniability since lawyers destroyed it.

if they hit Clinton foundation with money laundering, treason, selling state secrets and changing US policy in exchange for donations etc then it wouldn’t happen.

If Hillary is indicted, they had better have a solid case because of the payback factor.

I look at it like this – Trump is appeasing the Republican establishment with some of these appointments. But, he is the boss and all of these people work for him- if they don’t get in line and follow his lead they are gone, AND it gives him political leverage within his party to get the rest to fall in line.
