The U.S. is slowly barreling towards a conflict with the inherently evil Russian empire, so eloquently depicted in a variety of children’s cartoons. After Russia announced they were backing out of a plutonium deal, the White House escalated the schism and decided to totally break off diplomatic relations over the war torn Syria.
“This is not a decision that was taken lightly,” State Department spokesman John Kirby said in a statement. “Unfortunately, Russia failed to live up to its own commitments … and was also either unwilling or unable to ensure Syrian regime adherence to the arrangements to which Moscow agreed.”
“Rather, Russia and the Syrian regime have chosen to pursue a military course, inconsistent with the Cessation of Hostilities, as demonstrated by their intensified attacks against civilian areas, targeting of critical infrastructure such as hospitals, and preventing humanitarian aid from reaching civilians in need, including through the September 19 attack on a humanitarian aid convoy,” he said.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said patience had run out with Russia.
“What is clear is that there is nothing more for the United States and Russia to talk about with regard to stopping the ongoing violence in Syria and that is unfortunate,” he told reporters.
Bear in mind, Secretary of State, John Kerry, has advocated for a no-fly zone over Syria, which would effectively checkmate Russia into permitting Assad being overrun by U.S. backed terrorists in the country. Moreover, there is leaked audio of John Kerry saying that he asked the Obama administration to put troops on the ground to fight the Assad regime — which would up the ante and pave the way towards full scale war with Russia.
“I think you’re looking at three people, four people in the administration. I lost the argument. I’ve argued for the use of force. I’m the guy who stood up and announced that we’re going to attack Assad for the use of weapons.”
Kerry is on the record saying a Syrian ‘safe zone’ aka ‘nation building programme’ would entail 15-30k troops on the ground.
“All this talk about safe zones does not go through the process of what it really means,” Kerry said.
“Our Pentagon estimates that to have a true safe zone in the north of the country you may have upwards of fifteen to thirty thousand troops. Now are we ready to authorize that? Are we ready to put them on the ground?”
Fucking neocons.

Damn it.. are we really going into Cold War 2?
Remember when Russia parked a sub right off Santa Monica and shot a rocket towards West on November 8th 2010? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Maybe this war will be a hot one.
Fly, you got any more room in the Jersey bunker? I’m very docile.
The first bull dyke WW will be not sexist and fair. Bout time.
psychopaths in action
It is the fentanyl in the 57 brah.
I don’t know what they’re smoking
How many murderous dictators do we have to overthrow to learn that they are the best option at that time. The devil you know….
I get Assad is a madman but he’s a regional threat. Now we’ve made it our business and the likelihood is more people will die, not less.
neocons
neo-cons? it’s the liberals that are destroying the west
If you do not think that U.S. “liberals” as well as “conservatives” are neocons, I suggest you go back and revisit every single foreign policy strategy from Secretary of State Clinton and Secretary of “Defense” Gates (and remember, Gates straddled both GW’s admin and Obama’s) regarding Libya, Iraq and Syria.
Then also please recall that Gatea was Director of the CIA before he was Defense Secretary. Then dive deep into the archives and recall that GW’s father was also once CIA Director.
I’m baffled why are you always so concerned about the Russians? You take the side of the Russians in every dispute with America. The no-fly zone was an attempt to keep refugees from fleeing into neighboring countries and ultimately Europe. Probably too little too late at this point.
How about ten thousand nuclear warheads and an enormous army? Thanks for playing.
Is it ok if US citizens support Russia in those decisions where they are clearly in the right while we are clearly in the wrong? Or do we blindly follow the Clinton-Obama-Kerry strategy of jabbing Russia with sharp sticks at every opportunity?
This is all so backwards Hillary=War Trump=Dialog
well put
@rochester
No fly zone was to keep people from leaving ? Like taking flight from the airport or something ?
Are you that disconnected?
No fly zone is to keep the US in control of the air my friend. Doing that in a country that doesn’t want us there will start a war.
Which part of war do you not understand ? Do you like it when people die?
Regards
Chuck Bennett
not to mention making sure US-backed ‘moderate’ anti-Assad ‘rebels’, i.e. terrorists, i.e. al Nusra, al Queda, ISIS, etc. will not be attacked by Russian or Syrian planes
