Don Lemon is a complete tool. How can you even pretend this shooting is unrelated to all the others
Indeed, Lemon has to bail to a commercial when getting his tail kicked.
He has the gall to tell the sheriff to keep the volume down and stay civil.
Lemon has kept plenty of true racist hot heads on air with not a blip.
What is don lemon? a spineless flavor of bullshit?
Nice…….Lemon got squished like a grape…………
Don Lemon was trying to put words in his mouth and the Sheriff wasn’t having it. Kudos for the sheriff for not losing it on his condescending tone.
Lemon is a pretentious clown.
Wish Clarke would have shot Lemon down with his whole “you’re talking about something else” line by asking Lemon if he does not realize that what happens in Missouri affects Dallas, Baltimore affects Baton Rouge – ideology is pervasive, especially when so well covered by, ahem, Don Lemon.
These types of debates really just show how ignorant the general white population is on the topic.
These “studies” are generally never statistically relevant but what is relevant are the large numbers of incarcerated black people.
White ppl and black people do the same crimes but black people get harsher treatment & more jail time for the same crimes. It’s systemic & those numbers are all avaliable and statistically significant.
Black on black crime is a symptom of socioeconomic status, not race. Crime rates by race go up for any group of disadvantaged people.
You are an idiot.
There are more males than females incarcerated. So by your logic, the justice system is sexist? Or are males more threatening?
I forgot to ad males get longer sentences and “harsher” treatment (using your words). Male Lives Matter bro.
yes Steve, in many ways the justice system is in fact biased against males and more lenient on females.
new hastag
Dumbest fucking thing I have read all day, Probucks.
It’s about being poor, oppressed, and disadvantaged.
Simply being born into the wrong socioeconomic bubble puts you “more at risk” to be caught up by the system. It’s not about black or white. Blacks and Hispanics happen to the the two most economically ill equipped groups.
Institutionalized racism and horrendous laws targeted at minority groups allow for non-whites to be at a disadvantage from a legal perspective.
OH YEAH fly where is the banhammer?
This sherrif clarke is a fucking boss.
I’m not trolling & often time’s stay away from the politics. I care about making money futures trading and managing a $1.2mm account.
I’d consider myself a respectable contributor of idea flow (relative to the non-peanut gallery members)
CNN sucks but Sherrif Clarke is also a dumb ass
“White people do it too”

Nixon’s failed war on drugs is what’s lead to the systematic and unequal enforcement of the same laws for different groups of people
The US has a Mass Incarceration problem which is why simple crimes leads to the recidivism we have. The correctional system has turned into another way to strip the freedoms from a large group of the population instead of to reduce crime and improve/correct behavior (Hint: that’s what jails were originally meant for)
With crime rates as low as they are there shouldn’t nearly be as many people in jail (most of which are for minor offenses).

Correlation does not equal causation
Now, BLM has certainly enhanced risk to officer’s lives. However, they have done this by shining a spotlight on how certain officers treat minorities. So if Sherrif Clarke is looking for someone to balme, he shoudl follow the Thin Blue Line.
Now, there is no justification for the assasination in Dallas and Baton Rouge. Those killers are much worse than the officers that killed the black civilians. It is the difference between a pre-meditated murder and an inherent bias (fr=ormed throught training and the biases of society) that leads to bad situational awareness and decision making..
And while Clarke makes some good point (“Any riots or protests over the police officers in Dallas, Texas?”) you can easily flip the script and count on one hand the number of ranking officers that criticize the shootings of minorities.
The whole “Blakc Lives Matter” vs “All lives Matter” debate is a perfect example of each side’s lack of understanding each other’s PoV.
You are wrong dude. There is no debate. There are good and bad people. All fucking lives matter.
Don’t be a moron. Both statements are true, mutually exclusive, and complementary.
The facts are that the legal system and law enforcement don’t respect either “all lives matter” and especially “black lives matter”.
It’s funny because if the jails were filled with Jewish people the world would be weeping and in an uproar…
ironbird, you show an unsurprising lack of understanding on BLM’s PoV. Thanks for stepping in and proving my point.
Don’t worry, BLM is just as clueless. Choosing “Black Lives Matter” as a motto is just as effective as choosing Sarah Palin as a VP, for very similar reason: it will help energize people that already support you, but does little to broaden your base
Crime. White crime. Black crime. It’s all the same. There is no difference.
Crime is an indicator of morality and honesty possessed by the person.
Blaming it on outside socio-economic conditions or other influences enables crime and provides a scapegoat to blame other than the character of the individual.
That failed philosophy has brought us to the point we find ourselves today.
Want to read a meaningful statistic? Go search the percentage of incarcerated criminals who grew up in a home with no dad present.
PS. Sheriff Clarke is “the man” in more ways than one.
