Microsoft Tries to Relate to Young People and Instead Humiliates Themselves Again

This is just like something Gavin Belson from Hooli would do. Following an unbelievably nazi loving AI twitbot experiment gone wrong, the sages at Microsoft have gone ‘full retard’ with their recruitment efforts, trying desperately and pathetically to relate to the idiot millennial generation.

This is unbelievable to me. Did a real person write this, or was is just an algorithm that one of the introverted nerds at softy cooked up?

I work in recruiting for a fortune 100 engineering firm. These open house events are becoming the industry norm – basically cattle calls where an organization will invite 50-100 and maybe hire 20-40%.

The job market for new graduates, even the smart ones, is still fairly poor.

But this, good god, is an absolute atrocity.

Translation: my recruiting team will come down and we’ll be wearing t-shirts and jeans and serving Cheetos and Red Bull.

Hella comes directly from Ebonics. As for noms, you are on your own. My guess is it comes from the noise my dog makes when she devours her dish of food in under 15 seconds.

Fly, while everyone is focused on gold, silver, and hella noms, what do you think of Platinum? Moving up steadily with the other metals but it has historically been priced higher or on par with gold. At a discount now and steadily rising.

You guys have no idea how hard it is to hire in tech. New grads are getting 120k base + bonus + equity. Take home is 200k+ a year.

You know even with this email (which is over the top), they will still not get the attendance they need. Just cos they at Microsoft.

pandabear- Those numbers are for producers of product, mostly West coast, correct? Or do you mean those numbers extend to IT technical and support people at end users? For example, if a regional car dealership group has IT people, would this kind of compensation be the norm?
