Team Hillary Clinches Nomination For President of the United States of America

Thank you Puerto Rico. Now that Bernard Sanders has been shuffled aside to the trash heap of time, the real campaigning can begin, in earnest, for Team Hillary (yay!). This is a very historic moment for the United States, as the first woman is about to become the leader of the free world. The fucking bastard, Trump, stands in the way of true gender equality. God willing, he will contract herpes or gonorrhea and drop out of the race–permitting #TEAMHILLARY to make history, or might I say HERstory.

“We are on the brink of a historic and unprecedented moment but we still have work to do.
“We have six elections tomorrow and we’re gonna fight hard for every single vote, especially right here in California.”

This is all indelibly wonderful for the markets, as the specter of a generous Ebenezer Scrooge taking the White House, providing free stuff to all of the base creatures who traverse the gutters of America, would likely lead to a market rout not seen before since 1929.

I am sure you’re all super excited, in a very gender neutral way of course, to celebrate this momentous occasion with your life partners.

Cheers to Hillary and the first gentleman, Bill ‘the fucking rapist’ Clinton, for locking in the win. America needs some level headed Clinton-economics, right about now.

No one would mind Clinton economics. The 1990’s were quite good.

Okay, I will remind you only one time. The Clinton’s did well ONLY because of the internet bubble. Don’t fuck with me on this. I remember it vividly, while you were picking oranges or plucking basil from your garden.

The result of the Clinton term was a FUCKING COLLAPSE OF MONUMENTAL proportions, which was blamed on newcomer Bush.

      DON’T FUCK WITH ME.

Well said. Clinton caught economic cycle perfectly. Campaigned on a weak economy – lied and said it wasn’t improving – road it hard into a second tern, which by the time it ended we were a year into another recession.

a FUCKING COLLAPSE OF MONUMENTAL proportions

Of the 15 recessions over the past 80 years, it tied for the second shortest.

The highly overbought equities collapsed monumentally, but the economy had a very mild turndown.

There were two non-sequential quarters of decline in real GDP, but the worst of those had an annual rate of decline of 1.26%. Growth was positive for the year containing those two quarters.

I am for Bernie. But if Hillary wins, I predict that the economy and/or the market will do well for a while. Only because of a bubble of some kind, of course, if your tribe must see it that way. But mark my words, that will happen. I don’t see it as necessarily good in the long run this time either. But I don’t think Trump could do any better than that for the economy.

No one knows for sure about any of this, of course. We’re all guessing.

Now Bernie– he could do better, especially if he got a Democratic Congress to help him out. But it doesn’t look like Bernie will be the Dem nominee.

And you are claiming not to be partisan to the bone then, claiming not to parrot the Right Wing talking points over and over? You are just a member of a different tribe that feels compelled to insult my tribe.

I can actually consider the views of someone of a different tribe without insulting them in the extreme. So then which one of us is it who has no soul?

Wrong kid. Again. There are no two fucking tribes. There is only one. Look. Try and think. The only color that matters is green. Period game over.

If there are not tribes, then why do people insult and/or threaten other people on the Internet, almost every time the subject of politics comes up? Why do you insult me every time the subject of politics comes up?

Why can’t you, or many other people, civilly discuss matters of importance to our nation, with an eye toward problem solving rather than bashing?

People can talk about many other matters without insulting each other but not politics.

No, green is not the only color that matters. Unless you mean my garden and the forests. Even then, friends and family, the deer and rabbits, my flowers, the stars and planets in the night sky, the food we eat,– these all matter and are not always green.

Some people are going to find out soon that you can not eat money, that the green you are going to want most will have chlorophyl in it.

And if there are no battling tribes, then why, when bad rumors start to surface about a candidate– why is do you see your own candidate as always innocent until proven guilty? And why is it that you always see the other party’s candidate– and her husband– as guilty until proven innocent?

Ironbird, how TF can you accuse people of being partisan and then say there are no tribes?

I don’t think you understand frog’s use of the word tribe. It’s nt racial, it’s just means that people inherently like to feel part of a group, and that once they are part of that group, they lose a big part of their impartialness and critical thinking.

The Senate Majority Leader is on record stating that his number 1 goal was to prevent Obama’s 2012 re-election, yet the R party and the conservative movement was not able to find evidence that Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii, yet some people still believe that Obama was not born in Hawaii. Tribal thinking

Hillary would not be giving out free stuff to anybody. Hillary is a Republican in policy. And so was her husband when he was president. If she had an R behind her name, Republicans would love here. Bernie is the only progressive running in a major party.

I don’t know what Trump is, and neither does he or anyone else, in terms of party. He changes his mind a lot and often is not very specific as to what the details of his proposed policies are. He is pretty good at pissing off large groups of voters, which is one reason I expect Hillary will probably win. You can only get all the angry voters by pissing off all the voters they are angry at. So he is likely pushing as many voters toward Hillary as he is gaining.

I can’t blame anyone for being frustrated with our current political system. I am too. But if we change it, it’s not going to be primarily by just voting for someone for president. Big Money needs to be gotten out of politics, people need to start looking for and voting for public servant types of people for both Congress and the presidency etc. You can’t just expect that some “maverick” candidate for president will fix it all, so you can go back to a peaceful sleep.

People need to get active politically beyond just presidential elections. Unfortunately, we are such a celebrity oriented society that people find politics totally dull, except for the election of the supposed leader of the free world.

MSM anointing her screams “Failed State” dirty trick and voter suppression tactic….If the twat becomes Prez it’ll be by the skin of her teeth.

Petras is correct, they would be electing a spy: http://dissidentvoice.org/2016/06/hillary-clinton-electing-a-foreign-spy-for-president/

Now it’s more than shadenfreude for me, as I try to rationalize my hope for her defeat. A photo of her pouting in November having lost by .1%, knowing that even all the lives she promised to snuff out in Ziocon wars couldn’t bring her to power would be a fair commentary on the pursuit of power and its cost. Then there’s The Donald….

Then there’s Yogi Berra: It ain’t over till California…

That’s an incredibly biased article there about “Clinton’s High Crimes Against the State.” It looks like a small web site owned by one individual, but it follows most media in bashing Hillary.

Just as in most media, Clinton is viewed there as guilty until proven innocent– of anything anyone wants to accuse her of. Even AFTER she’s found innocent– as in the Congressional investigation of Benghazi– most news media still bash her constantly on that issue too.

What if a web site or news organization treated a candidate you LIKED that way. Wouldn’t you think that was unfair? Well, it is unfair in Hillary’s case too.

Most news media studiously avoid saying anything positive about Hillary, even though there is plenty that could be said. Their method of “news reporting” is:
      –Hillary said or did something
–Okay, our job is to go over it with a fine tooth comb and figure out how we can claim that what she did/said shows that she is:
incompetent, stupid, corrupt, dishonest, untrustworthy, hypocritical and/or out to destroy America out of pure evil intentions.

Bernie is my candidate, because Hillary is too hawkish for me. But I still recognize how unfairly Hillary is treated.

    – Cattle deals

She should be rotting in Leavenworth for the rest of her miserable life!

It’s actually a pretty easy answer to your question. Insufficient evidence. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks you, her, or anyone else did. Prove it.

Everyone knows the bankers did it, even though there is no proof. No one even tried to investigate or convict them.

But with Hillary, the GOP dominated Congress put her through the ordeal of a Congressional investigation on Benghazi. If there would have been one shred of evidence of wrongdoing, they would have run with it far and fast, for their own partisan reasons. But they found nothing and had to give up.

The GOP crucified Bill Clinton over a blow job. But with George Bush, there was nothing done and nothing considered, after he invaded Iraq and got lots of people killed and wasted tons of taxpayers’ money– due to the excuse of non-existent weapons of mass destruction.
