More than that, she wants it enforced in such as way that it could incur jail time of up to 15 days, in addition to a fine, for bumping into folks on the sidewalk?
She cites some cock-eyed study of more than 11,000 cases that resulted in ‘some injuries.’ Her number one reason to pass such an Orwellian law is because ‘it’s just as dangerous as jay-walking.’

Bernie is running as a Dem and he is awesome. Everybody getting a college education paid for by taxpayers would be good. It would be far more useful that the jillion unnecessary bloody wars that other candidates want to spend many times as much taxpayer money on. And no one would die from going to college.

Free college education is the dumbest idea ever. What people don’t have to work for, strive for, they do not value. It would end up financing more parasites than not. And you suggest that I should have to pay for it? Education is already an oligarchy due to the government backing of student loans. Turning it into an absolute monopoly is not going to improve either the education system, or the USA in general.
The USA is, by far, the globally dominant power, and it was achieved without the handouts you favor.

BTW, Brazil, Germany, Finland, France, Norway, Slovenia, and Sweden have tuition free or almost free to their students.

College used to be pretty low in price in the U.S. The prices have skyrocketed in recent years, pricing lots of students out of the market.

If they were serious about an education that would provide real and tangible skills the powers that be would get behind training for skilled trades. I’m talking Mike Rowe type skills here. PLC set up and programming anyone? Shit. You may as well try to find a married couple that are not genetically related in the hills of Kentucky.

The affordable care act is a joke. The only good things it did were keep children under 26 on parents coverage and prevent restrictions on on preexisting conditions. The deductibles are ridiculous. And I have a policy through my employer that is supposedly much better than through ACA. And thanks to a liver transplant, I still may have to go bankrupt. That’s after no longer having a house, cashing in 30 years of retirement savings and fundraising to pay for it. I don’t know the solution to health care in the US, but if a plan better than an ACA mandated plan is screwing me this badly, ACA is not it. And when will they realize dental care is very important to overall health. More money would be saved if reasonable dental coverage was included. I guess teeth aren’t important. No the truth is the people writing this plans and rules in Congress and passing really couldn’t care less. They have the money to pay for what they need. They are just giving lip service to the public.
