Something doesn’t smell right about this. Apple wins by being praised as the champion for privacy. The government wins by being able to access the phone, without the help of Apple.
Oh really?
Perhaps Apple made a backdoor deal to provide access, without making them look like the evil bastards that they truly are?
“The government has now successfully accessed the data stored on Farook’s iPhone and therefore no longer requires the assistance from Apple Inc. mandated by Court’s Order Compelling Apple Inc. to Assist Agents in Search dated February 16, 2016,” U.S. attorney Eleen M. Decker and assistant U.S. attorney Tracy L. Wilkison wrote.
The fuck out of here.

You never do know what happens in secret, or doesn’t..
In fact, I wonder why AAPL and the justice department didn’t just do all the communications about this situation privately. Why do we have to know? Oh, of course. AAPL wanted some positive PR about how they are protecting their customers’ privacy.
iPhones aren’t nearly the epitome of security that AAPL-fanboys trounce around and say they are.
dont believe the hype
Isn’t MLB starting up? Got to commend them on sticking to investigative priorities.
Never, ever even start to believe the official story about something like this.
My iPhone just came out with an update a few days ago and I was suspicious of it so I ignored it. Not surprised to see this now. Definitely doesn’t smell right.
What evidence do you have that Apple provided access?
The reason this incident doesn’t “smell right” was that the Justice Dept. rushed to court prematurely with a half assed argument in the first place. Utter stupidity. Let’s see if they learn anything useful from this sooo important break into the iPhone.
If I had evidence, I would say what happened dumb ass. It’s speculation. You know, what you do you when you don’t have evidence….
