AMEN.
Migrants is such a pc word.
On another subject Fly have you seen any of the newish HBO series Vinyl? Eye and ear candy most episodes. Little over the top but fun look at the music industry in the 70’s.
haven’t seen Vinyl. I do love lead actor, who played Gyp Rosetti in Boardwalk.
I have too many shows to watch and too few time.
You’ll want to find time I assure you for the actress who plays his wife
I wonder why these videos aren’t being picked up and played repeatedly on Mass media news networks….? It’s been proposed that the US accept Syrian refugees as well. At the very least these anecdotes are worthy of publication by US mass media so that the American public may make an informed decision, no?
Coming soon to a European city? How about coming soon to an American city? Obama has granted 680,000 greencards to people from predominantly Muslim countries. http://www.wnd.com/2015/11/staggering-number-of-muslim-refugees-under-obama/
The article says that this is “a refugee program that is rooted in the 1980s and has the support of both parties.” So it is just business as usual, not something specifically to do with Obama.
In fact, “the Gang of Eight immigration “reform” bill co-sponsored by GOP presidential candidate Marco Rubio would have tripled the number of green cards being issued.”
Also, “The 680,000 number is not an estimate of total migration, as it does not include temporary migrants who return home”
http://www.wnd.com/2015/11/staggering-number-of-muslim-refugees-under-obama/#ZpbqX8jd7BH9w5D0.99
Ah but it *IS* an Obama thing.
Yes, the Refugee Act goes back to 1980. It was a Ted Kennedy invention for refugees from *around the world*. From 1980-2009 (29 yrs) only ~ 800,000 (1.5M – 680K) refugees came from Muslim-majority nations. Under Obama, 680,000 refugees came from Muslim-majority nations in *5* years.
If you think that more than a handful of those 680K have given up their greencard (and the associated gov’t benefits) and returned home, you’re dreaming. And oh BTW, that 680K doesn’t include U.S. births to those immigrants. FWIW the fertility rate in Pakistan is 3.26…
You say this was an Obama thing because “Under Obama, 680,000 refugees came from Muslim-majority nations in *5* years” I see that, if the writer of the article is correct, that this apparently did happen during Obama’s administration. How did Obama cause this to happen? Was it due to some executive order he issued? Or was it due to a change in immigration law by Congress, which is GOP dominated at the current time? Congress makes the laws, not the president, except for a few executive order.
I am not aware that Congress or the president made any significant changes to immigration law that resulted in these numbers increasing. Are you? Perhaps it was simply that more people applied, and perhaps the same percentage were accepted, resulting in an increase in the actual number of people accepted.
If anyone knows exactly why there was an increase, then please let me know. I am curious.
Cigar, Why bother with stating facts with extremist leftists like Frog? He will ALWAYS sound the same musical note, regardless of what tune is playing. Leftists are always good, conservatives are always bad and of course THEY are to blame for anything bad – blaa blaa blaa.
The Islamization of Europe is spreading worldwide, and the left thinks it is simply politically incorrect to admit it so they refuse to see it; and if YOU do, it means you are a ‘racist’ (though I don’t know how an ideology is a ‘race’, but never mind). If you’re waiting for the left to ‘wake up’, forget it. They never will.
Pirate, be aware that if you don’t bother with communicating with progressives about national issues, that you are helping the Divide and Conquer program to work against the citizenry of the U.S. I will do my best to be fair to people who disagree with me politically. Are you willing to give me and others that same respect also?
If you say that the Islamization of Europe is spreading worldwide, I will not call you a racist. And I apologize on behalf of any progressive who has said that in the past. I think a free and open discussion is essential to solving national problems.
Stock up on weapons if you are fortunate enough to live in a state that allows it. Imagine a swarm like that storming your neighborhood and your house.
It just hit me. The left wing (liberals) , who want amnesty/more immigrants, do not actually give a shit about the immigrants. All they want is the ability to point the finger at their fellow countryman, and be able to label him/her as racist. That furthers their cause, and makes them feel like they are superior humans. They don’t care how much these illegals cost the system (healthcare, food, schooling, crime, etc.), because it’s not them paying. They want to stick it to richer, more successful people who have busted their asses to get to where they are, because they couldn’t compete with them. We’ve seen many conflicts over the years, and it may be time to accept reality, and that is that certain people are NOT meant to live with each other. They have conflicting values, religious beliefs, and mores that are not conducive to furthering society. My 0.02 cents.
I completely agree — certain peoples should remain separate.
However, it is not only the left who wants refugees admitted to fulfill their false-humanistic ideologies but also the powers that be to the right who want cheap labor, aka ‘slave labor’ to fatten their bottom line.
Trump for el Prezidente of this bananna republic.
I’m not a liberal but I feel superior to you. Your opinions are indeed worth 0.02 cents. (which is two/hundredths of one cent). Got math?
I agree certain peoples should remain separate… ignorant and intelligent. Please step into the ignorant pool gents.
Fenderu2, thanks for explaining The Right Wing ideology to me. Fascinating. So, according to the Right Wing ideology or political religion, Tom Steyer, Warren Buffett, George Soros and such people are all motivated by the desire to point the finger at their fellow countryman, and be able to label him/her as racist.
Wow, what an interesting set of beliefs.
There is only one part of this that makes sense to me. I can understand the problem about being called racist if one wants to limit immigration though. As a progressive, you may jump to the conclusion that I will call you racist if you want to limit immigration in some way for some reason that makes sense. I will not. And I am sorry that some progressives are doing that.
Let us all please not let the Divide and Conquer program work so well. Progressives and conservatives are not each one person, thinking identical to everyone in their camp.
It is only when there is free discussion ideas among progressives, conservatives and others, that our nation can use all of its potential in order to solve our common problems.
This video, posted in 2012…. regarding Bruxelles… and all other major European cities.

the ultimate set up. Create civil unrest so that we can end up in FEMA camps that Haliburton built, on the trains and cars that Buffet owns. –
I have read these conspiracy theories on the web but do not believe them. The theory is that both sides of the political establishment want to turn us into slaves. I do agree that there are problems with both sides of the political establishment, but I see them as somewhat different problems on the 2 different sides.
The biggest problem I see here is that the ordinary citizens are too passive. In many other countries citizens learn about political issues, and they go out on the streets and demonstrate to demand that politicians act as public servants to do the will of the people. In the U.S. the passivity is stunning. In the 2014 election, only 36.4% of eligible voters turned out to vote, the lowest in 70 years. So 63% stayed home. Is it any wonder that the citizens do not get our needs served by government when almost twice as many people stay home as vote?
the elite count on that. most people do not think they can make a difference with their vote, knowing nothing will change. ergo they stay home and watch “the games”. Hence you have the trump effect, many feel they have a chance to change things – for better or for worse we will not know.
I see what you mean. I think that no matter who is president, citizens need to not only vote but also go out on the streets and demonstrate to demand that that person do what is best for the country, whenever we feel they are not doing that. The pres, whoever they are, will not be a god. They will have their limits. And they will be hearing constantly from lobbyists and other representatives of wealthy campaign donors and such people. They need to hear from ordinary citizens at least as often, probably more often, if we are to have any hope of unclouding their judgment.
And we citziens should really should overturn Citizens United in order to remove some of these judgement clouders from the political process.
