Depravity is back. With the ECB in the market for all of the corporate debt in the world, investors are panicking for yield, scouring their local newspapers for common stock opportunities that might offer a better return than zero.
The NASDAQ raced higher by 86, spearheaded by oil stocks, which are now higher by 28% over the past two weeks.
Everything lifted, sans gold and bonds, as 81% of stocks traded higher, converging from the wretched breadth endured during yesterday’s session.
Optimism, for lack of a more appropriate word, is back. Even money hemorrhaging biotechs are in vogue.
The winter has passed and warmer climes are just over the horizon. Let’s just hope the sun isn’t too hot and your car isn’t made from dynamite sticks, else you might blow up and mushroom cloud into the after-life.

Overbought.
Optimism be damned. I moved more into cash today and have my eye on adding more TLT now that it has faded into the oil insanity.
Yes, overbought for the moment but still looking bullish overall. Looks like a fair number of Devil Dogs covered today.
Neither bulls nor bears will have a good year in this ménage of market mischief.
I feel you bro.
Trades have entered paradise however….
traders….
I’m voting for Abraham Lincoln. Writing him in.
Okay, I get it. Voters think that presidential elections are videotaped public speaking contests for who can say the things that voters like to hear– whether those things are true or not, whether they are possible or not, whether the person has zero experience in the area they are discussing.
Okay, I see why people like Trump now. He makes them feel safe and strong, as long as they just watch the video of the speaker– with no fact checking or referring to real world conditions– just like going to a movie.
The guy with billions seems qualified to be president because he is so often the hero of movies and TV shows. The hero is assumed to be a genius at everything. In the real world, people have areas of competence, and also areas where they know nothing– regardless of whether they are a billionaire or not. But this isn’t the real world. This is the American politics TV show.
A lot of this is tribal too. People like the candidate their friends like, because they like being included in that friendship group, church group, whatever. The idea of thinking for oneself is terrifying to most.
Just shut the fuck up. There is a special in prison for people like you. All prettied up.
he does it for attention
the more mad you get the longer he rambles
Are you joking? This is not anger. It is apathy possibly pity.
He doesn’t have billions. This will come out.
Even if he does have millions, this doesn’t make Trump an expert in areas where he has no knowledge or experience.
Fly, if you believe it does, you have indeed been trading and focusing on money and on wealthy people, for too long. I hope you will get out and see the world and the many people doing fascinating things, some of which have little or nothing to do with money
Some people volunteer their time to do things they love and value. Others love what they do for a living so much that they would do it for free. It’s not money but passion and persistence and talent and experience that make someone an expert– in government or in any other area.
The problem with government is that we have so few dedicated public servants and so many corrupt people on the take. Politics has become mostly a cash for influence game. So anyone who is not doing that looks good to people, even if he know nothing about government and feeds on people’s racism and hatred in order to get votes.
What is it with frogs and toads in the comments lately?
