Hmm. International currencies are being flushed. So we have finally found some inflation– inflation in the dollar relative to other currencies. But somehow I don’t think that’s why the inflation people mean.
Since March 2009, we haven’t had much inflation, according to the official measures anyway. And the stock market has gone up most of the time since then anyway.
The Fed people are inflation people. But this inflation seems to be a hallucination they are having, if you look at commodities. Inflation seems to be like weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. People keep telling you it’s there, but where?
