I was mortified as a child, after seeing this movie. I felt as if Freddy Krueger was going to murc me in my sleep.
A little background on this one. I believe I was about 8 years of age when my mother thought it’d be a good idea to take my sister and I to the cinema. Instead of a choice John Candy movie, she opted for this fucking shit.
I was always in the streets, playing about the sewers, lighting firecrackers and tossing them into iced cream trucks (true story), so I wasn’t exactly virigin to the horror film genre, even at the tender age of 8. But this wasn’t your ordinary horror film; this was terrifying. After seeing this horrifying classic, my mother thought it’d be wise to see it again, back to back.
So I saw this movie, which scared the shit out of me, not once, but twice. After leaving the theatre, the entire parking lot was vacant and it was dark, and also foggy. I can still remember that moment, after the film, in the dark fog thinking Freddy Kreuger was going to hand knife me to death.

Seriously, it could have been worse. She could have taken you to see “Bambi” twice in a row; a movie I have vowed never to see.
No one makes horror like Lynch – Mulholland Drive…takes Hitchcock’s style to the next level…true horror doesn’t need a monster to scare you – your own mind is the most terrifying place there is.
This website is now Nightmare on PC. But to be fair- any website that understands the reality of the audience has changed to the aspect ratio and navigation of the smartphone browser.

The site has shrunk. The comments now appear like Yahoo news. Small and retarded. More than difficult to feel the vibe of IBC as well. Scrolling down is not all that. Half the page basically is ads. Just an opinion.
You were right going Drudge before. Now it is Bloomberg like. At least the site still allows comments even if they have been belittled.
It just takes time. Every time IBC has changed it was for the better. My ignorant opinion should be faded.

Functionally speaking, this is modern and in line with current designs. The old site was very dated.

The site has adopted navigation and presentation designed for the best user experience on a smartphone. That’s a smart thing to do, and correct.
I think the visual style of a website is ultimately driven by how the user views it, and by the different operation of the device.
I noticed a while back that many websites (now nearly all) appeared dumbed down…screen filling pictures, giant text, simple minded navigation. They looked like children’s websites.
Then I realized the change was for the reality that the world is going mobile, with smart phone users dominant and containing the most active audience.
Also- I agree with the need to remain up to date with the latest presentation style. Only a site for luddites will remain stagnant.
After Jaws, I was afraid to get in a bathtub full of water.

Since I was 31 when it came out… it wasn’t so scary. But a well done movie for its genre.
The site format is OK. I like the old format better, but that’s mainly because I was used to it. This format does seem to have more advertising and pop-ups.
Looks great on Mac. I have Win10 (very nice btw MSFT) on my PC. I will check maybe someday….
