DOW PLUMMETS; “THE FLY” IS WITHOUT REFRIGERATION

I am living Victorian style, finally.

Who needs the basic luxuries of modern refrigeration when you have perfectly good coolers filled with ice to preserve provisions with? Sure, the $800+ amount of WFM groceries that had to be idly tossed away was a write down; and yes, it’s a bit of an inconvenience to be forced to eat out each and every night. But we will manage and prevail, yes?

Why haven’t I purchased a new fridge, you ponder?

Apparently, Mrs. Fly is hellbent on seeing her warranty honored. The yam eating repairmen are all on vacation, cavorting about the Disneyland in search of dipping dots, while I am here in the 19th century tending to the melting ice. After all, what better use of the Space Alien Magian (SAM) than have him dealing with menial tasks, such as preservation of perishable goods?

Markets are starting to look dicey. I was mocking them this morning, while down just 130. But now we’re down over 220 and the fucking NASDAQ is no joke to the downside. I’m not even gonna get emotional over this. I know you’re waiting for me to pop off, pissed off about this or that. It’s not gonna happen this time, lads.

“The Fly” is a new man, a person of great distinction and emotionally recalcitrant to the modus operandi that rules your body, minds and souls.

You may want to follow this advice. Maytag makes a hideous refrigeration unit. I know from experience. I had the repairman (whilst under warranty) out to my home so often I knew his first name. Finally, after the last issue (day before Thanksgiving 2013; we were hosting), I just junked it and went for the Kenmore. No fancy whistles. I know how to make ice (a little water, a little cold and a little time). I have a well so my tap water is fine. The Kenmore has been flawless since purchase.

Buy a new fridge today and place it in the garage for overflow items and to use as a back up while you await the repairman.

Reminds me of a customer I had a while back. Never owned a home before, bought a big house in Atherton Ca for around 5 million. It came with a home warranty care of the realtor. As soon as he and his family moved in things started going wrong. He would call the warranty people and they would say it wasn’t covered. Finally the dishwasher broke and they said it was covered. Just pay a $75 deductible and we’ll take care of it. So he did and they sent over various people to look at it. Nobody actually worked on it, just said they needed parts or something and left. Meanwhile they had the nanny hand washing everything for a year. Not sure how it finally ended but it was a dark chapter in his life regardless.

WEll, You dared the market with your YAWN, not it has really gotten ugly. Would like to see some clawing back. I’ll trust your word on a rally – this week? I know that is overly hopeful? Any specifics?

Don’t let her take the warranty Co’s shit! If they say wait a week for a repair man, tell them, “Fuck You, let me talk to your manager” My Mom just had to do this same shit with GE, after going up the ladder 2-3 times they sent someone out that day!
