I consume a lot of information, probably way too much. I believe we are in the ‘golden era’ of teevee programming, which is driving ad dollars and subscription models to new highs. See AMCX for evidence (Better Call Saul is as good as Breaking Bad).
Today the very best show, House of Cards, released season 3 on NFLX. The best thing about NFLX is they release all of the episodes at once, permitting binge watchers to go ‘hog-wild’ and consume.

What is your favorite show of all time, Fly?
Such a hard one. I’d have to say Rome, Wire, Carnivale, House.
Present shows: Sherlock, Suits, House of Cards, Game of Thrones.
Others that are excellent include Peaky Blinders, Hannibal, The Knick, Ray Donovan, Black Sails
No Breaking Bad?
Mine are Six Feet Under and Wire, Arrested Development and The Office for comedy.
I liked Rome, but something about it just couldn’t get it into my faves. I currently watch HoC and GoT, and I absolutely loved True Detective but am waiting to see how it continues.
Do not forget Homeland although it has its ups and downs.
Peak Blinders has got to be one of the best of all time.

I liked the first season of the wire, I found the second to be a big let down and didn’t finish it. Is it really worth pushing on to season 3…does it get better again?
Wire gets insane. See it through.
2nd season is the only disappointing one, i think

mr. nakata, If I have to pick just one, I can tell you my favorite show of all time is “Gilligan’s Island.”
I struggle picking just one as well, but I think I have to go with Six Feet Under.
Fly – i know you didn’t like the first episode, but I think you should stick with Spartacus for a few more episodes. I also liked Rome more, but Spartacus is good in its own right. Plus – there are many quotable lines. When my children upset me I yell that they have “brought shame to this ludus!” Nobody knows what I am talking about but it makes me feel better

Deadwood is excellent. Justified too.
